Pros

It's a great second job if you don't care how many hours you're getting and you like not knowing what you'll be doing everyday.

Cons

Some daycares will have you as the only person teaching a class of pre-schoolers and kindergarteners with no prep. Others will have you assist 2 other teachers with a small group of 2 year olds. It can be very overwhelming when the children will only listen to their regular teacher and you've been asked to get them to do something. It was frustrating that daycares reliability score didn't go down when they canceled a shift the day before but in the same situation the worker's do. Overall it was difficult to find shifts that worked with my schedule, especially with summer coming up.

Pros

Very flexible, you make your entire schedule, good pay, good communication with company, the system is very easy to manage

Cons

You can only work if there are jobs available, there is usually only an option for 8 hour shifts, some of the daycares are very short staffed
