I have been working at Urban Outfitters full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Pay and benefits were great. Most of the people were fine. Paid holidays and vacations.

    Cons

Political and cliquey. Unless you’re in a huge market (LA, NYC), you’re scum. Workload continues to rise despite concerns on behalf of employees. Upper management refuses to listen to employees at the store level and don’t learn from past mistakes. Entry level pay for most positions is very low.

    Advice to Management

Quit burning people out with unrealistic work loads and impossible deadlines. Learn to garner respect by doling it out.

I have been working at Urban Outfitters full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The people are by far the best reason to work for this company. They become like family across the nation.

    Cons

It's hard working for a company who doesn't seem to have your back. There isn't a good sense of job security. I've watched a lot of dedicated employees who helped make this retail company so unique leave and it hasn't been the same since.

    I worked at Urban Outfitters

    Pros

Great job in terms of tasks and responsibilities! You get to meet nice people and maybe travel to other location to build new stores.

    Cons

I would say it is hard to progress in the company and to get recognition. The ambiance is not always very plaisant because of some managers wanting to boss people by diminishing them...

I have been working at Urban Outfitters

    Pros

The stolen artistic ideas and cool customers you can meet.

    Cons

Below-poverty salary, no Human Resources Department, complete disregard for OSHA, horrible, demeaning working conditions, stolen overtime hours from employees (class action lawsuit currently ongoing - December 2014), absolute disregard for employee rights, no fair due process exists, employees mean absolutely nothing to the company, disgustingly greedy upper management, grossly incompetent merchandisers and district... managers, stay far away from this company, both as a potential hire or as a customer. Boycott Urban outfitters and teach them that this is unacceptable. Proof of statements available upon request.

    Advice to Management

Change career, your corporation is going down. You've been allowed for way too long to treat your workers unfairly and with complete moral and ethical disregard.
