I have been working at VMware for more than a year

    Pros

Fantastic, collaborative and innovative organisation. Within VMware, irrespective to role, employees are encouraged and feel empowered to meet with senior leadership and share their views and ask for support. Vmware has an amazing culture. It is open and friendly, encourages family activities and work/life balance. Diversity and inclusion are a high priority. Top Talent individuals are given the opportunity to progress within the organisation to meet their personal career aspirations. The company also has a huge charitable (foundation) movement, which is inspiring and gives employees the opportunity to give a number of hours/days to charitable activities every year.

    Cons

External perception from the market is that VMware is just a virtualisation company.

I have been working at VMware for more than a year

    Pros

I find it as one of the best company I have ever worked for. Innovative environment; Working with people with 'can do' attitude. Quite well developed internal social life ( incl. internal groups, lots of interest-based activities, etc.). Excellent work-life balance I would say, too.

    Cons

rather undefined, often changing environment. It might be difficult for some employees to remain agile.

I have been working at VMware full-time

    Pros

VMware continues to steamroller the competition with killer products. Great opportunities for sales and technical to be successful. UK organisation trying hard on soft management areas such as work life balance.

    Cons

New layers of organisational complexity breeding politics, teams working at crossed-purposes, stifling bureaucracy. Career development limited as new/replacement management recruited too much externally.

I worked at VMware for more than a year

    Pros

Coworkers were awesome to work with. Great company and culture. Excellent work life balance.

    Cons

The only con is that I wish I could've stayed longer! I knew going in it was a temporary role, but I didn't think I was going to love working there so much.
