Pros

If you are fresh out of college and are used to minimum wage it's nice getting a lot more money. But that's not something exclusive to Valiant...

Cons

Where to begin? Training was a joke, they just expected me to read from an endless catalogue of standards and watch basic CATIA tutorials for a month before I did anything related to the work I would be doing. Most of the employees chit chatted A LOT about politics, showing hatred towards people from other countries, hatred towards transgender people, and talked about really debatable topics such as planned parenthood and religion. There is also nepotism that is quite obvious as the CEO's relatives worked in our dept. and would constantly be late coming in the morning and sometimes first people to leave. Personally, I was not given enough opportunity to actually apply engineering to my design practices. I'd say 95% of what I learned was in the first 3 months and after that there was hardly any improvement to being mentally stimulated. Also the manager made me feel uncomfortable because his cubicle was just in my periphery and he would constantly pop his head up and look in my direction.

Pros

Solid experience Good benefits Lots of opportunities to learn about the industry Management is welcoming and professional

Cons

Very negative attitude/atmosphere Unorganized when it comes to distributing work. Company tries to do make improvements, but fails at training employees and ends up falling behind and reverting to old, inefficient ways of doing things. Most people get pidgeon-holed into doing one job, despite being told they will have opportunities to work in other departments.

Cons

Pathetic work environment. Manager will always look over your shoulder for work that you are doing. No growth.
