    Can just get on with your shifts if thats what you prefer

    The home manager at Westleigh House is superb. Couldn’t ask for a more on the ball, caring, supportive and fair manager. Lots of hours available for if you need extra income The ethos of the home is just what I would like if I were looking for a loved one.     Minimum wage, no extra for weekends, nights or bank holidays (except for Christmas). They pay on the 10th of the month so you have to wait while they earn a bit of interest on your money.

    Advice to Management

    For the home manager, none... perfection. For the company as a whole... pay better.. supplement for unsocial hours and bank hols. recognise those who do good work and reward learning too like you used to. Pay at the end of the month like most companies do Length of service bonus is pretty insulting tbh, review this

    Stop gossiping to your employees when it concerns another employees business. Other staff and even visitors all know your business before you even do. Stop gossiping about invidivial staff to all the other staff and letting all the old staff bully anyone who is new to the home making them feel bullied out of the job. If your face don't fit or stand up for yourself then stop letting your staff gang up and making new staff...

    People we look after . Lots of things but the management Is absolutely terrible CQc please investigate company

    1)Management do supervision with office door open so that people you support overhear confidential conversation. 2) cliques 3) Many medical errors . 3) suspicious of the companies who of handling finances . 4) Get people who are not qualified to be managers running place.     Shift work can fit in with family needs. It’s always a privilege to meet and care for thevresudents who I may not otherwise cross paths with.

    Cons

    I can find the environment competitive which I find strange in s caring profession. A lot of staff I work with have lots and lots of money and are the ones that are high up or treated with upmost respect. Which again I find strange as many residents at voyage care are struggling on a weekly budget.     Not been here long but everyone ive met so far is great.

    None apart from the benefits package is no good and the childcare vouchers can no longer be used.

    ● The people I supported are lovely and so kind natured. I miss them everyday I don't work with them, it's a shame I honestly feel sorry for them.

    Cons

    ● Manager lacks skills to manage a home to a high standard. ● Manager wouldn't complete paperwork that was mandatory unless ops manager was due or cqc. ● Money was going missing from petty cash and residents, although manager and team leaders are made aware of this they did nothing. ● Team leaders bullied staff to the point of tears on a regular basis. ● Absolutely no support for staff from management and team leaders....

    Advice to Management

    LISTEN to staff when they come to you with concerns, I would of never left the company if concerns were addressed and handled in an appropiate manner. Treat staff equally instead of having clear favourites. Most importantly listen to the individual in your care and take time to listen to them. Give staff training to a high standard rather than just e-learning consider workshops.
