Pros

WDNA gave me the experience to get a new job in the same industry and to no longer work for such a corrupt company

Cons

1. They would call me at 1 am and tell me I was switched to open the next day. 2. I worked up to 56 hours a week and was not paid overtime. 3. I had to pay for my own credit and background check in order to work there. 4. Benefits were expensive but hardly covered anything. 5. When I left for another job in the same industry, they repeatedly called my new manager and said I had broken a non-compete clause, which I hadn't. 6. They wouldn't allow me to take my break on some days. 7. I asked for a specific day off due to a course I was taking on that day, they booked me that day for 8 consecutive weeks. 8. After paying for my benefits already, my benefits card was "missing" and it took two months till I actually received it. 9. The management told me they had no idea who to talk to in order to activate my discount on my phone plan. I never received it. 10. I was off due to a work related injury, they failed to contact WSIB, and said I was to blame for my injury. When I came back, they put sales of mine under others names for "abandoning their store."

Pros

Discounts on wireless, cable, internet plans...etc. Discounts on smart phones. Some of the head office staff are really friendly and cool. Get valuable work experience in the telecommunications industry.

Cons

3+ years of working and have never gotten a raise or performance review. High turnover rate. No mission statement or unified goal/brand. Not accessible easily by public transit. Strict 9-5 hours at head office, very rigid, no flexibility, even if you have to travel across a few cities just to get to work. Most of the staff are Indian/Muslim, which means you need to be prepared to eat a lot of Halal and/or Vegetarian food for staff lunches/dinners/get togethers. If you're not sales, you're not really valued. If you're not sales, incentives are few and far between. No Christmas bonus in 2016 even though the company hit all targets for the first time in my time working there.

Pros

Day to day you won’t be working with the Founders (for the most part depending on your role) . You’d (hopefully) be working closely to managers/directors/district managers/assistant managers who are all friendly, kind, supportive and create a lovely environment. All other staff are pleasant, kind and friendly. It’s a great place to start. - Company is quite new, sales /tech industry, there may be opportunity for growth/exposure - Breakfast offered every day -Again, all other staff are extremely nice, kind, caring -Location -Managers/directors are amazing, efficient, friendly, supportive and kind

Cons

WDNA is by far one of my worst corporate experiences over the last 10 years. The company can be discriminating, not at all inclusive/diverse, and the most concerning part of the organization is that it is conducted by two individuals who do not have the competencies to be leaders (in my opinion). The company operates in a very hierarchal structure where it is very acceptable for those at the top (President) to speak in any such way to employees (lack of respect). Leaders of the company are not aware of many back end, non sales related processes, therefore , there are gaps and as a result there is no clear structure to follow. Directors/individuals reporting to leaders of company do not speak up, and are afraid to correct/educate them when needed. The company is composed of primarily one culture/race (90 - 95%) who speak their language throughout the office regardless if other cultures are present. This can make you feel secluded if you do not understand what they are saying, and you’ll have a hard time building relationships in this environment. The lack of diversity is also a reason why hierarchy is normalized here. There is no room to provide feedback/ insight for improvement (President not willing to listen, or will turn you down in a condescending way, also loves to bash other companies which can sound quite toxic)
