I have been working at WE Communications

    Pros

Work from home options. Vacation time. Health Benefits. You are able to work with one of the largest clients in the world.

    Cons

Too many to list. Management needs a serious reality check. Most senior leadership talks a big game and rarely delivers.Take a look at the failed Studio D project. It was once one of the coolest things about the agency, but management drove it straight into the ground. Truly unfortunate. There are too many hands in the pot at any given time. Recognition is rarely given. If you truly want to start your career off...

    Advice to Management

Drop the ivory tower attitudes. Cut senior leadership back 50%. Enable your employees to do the best job they can do and recognize the hard work.

"Great benefits, but don't be fooled into thinking this is the young, hip place that they advertise"

I have been working at WE Communications

    Pros

Great benefits. Fully paid medical insurance. 4 weeks time off (includes sick-time), sabbatical after 6 years of employment. 401(k) matches dollar for dollar, up to 7.5%.

    Cons

Culture wants very badly to promote innovation and creativity. However, this is stifled by management that seems more concerned about creating the innovation themselves to continue living the good life up top. Promotions seem to be more about tenure than about performance.

    Advice to Management

Be true leaders and foster innovation and creativity by giving employees resources and CONTROL of their destiny. Too many times we see good programs start at the agency, only to be stifled by Agency Communications, the AAB, Sr. Management. Reward good work and loyalty, or the innovation and creativity you stifle will be lost forever.

I have been working at WE Communications

    Pros

This agency has a really great benefits package and the working conditions are top notch. It's easy to see that Waggener Edstrom realizes that its people are its most important asset. It's easy to advance at Waggener Edstrom if you're smart and willing to work hard. This agency is winning some big-hitting clients lately and the work keeps getting more and more interesting. With the agency growing all around the world,...

    Cons

Be ready to work hard. Even though the work is interesting, you could easily get burned out if you're expecting a cake walk. It's a good thing the agency offers such a generous vacation package for new employees.

    Advice to Management

Keep growing the company around the world. Promote the agency more. If you get the name out there, more of the best and brightest talent will come here and those already here will feel even better about working here.
