Provided good opportunities for entry level and senior positions. Mid Level opportunity is lacking.
Pros
It's easy to obtain training. Provide a lot of swag, field gear, and necessary equipment without many questions asked. A good team and fun people to work with. A pretty wide range of projects that keeps you from getting bored.
Cons
Management is the main con. Micromanaging to the point where you feel like you're not trusted to do your job and that you're not competent. Quality control is a great skill but when the person reviewing report is editing the edits on their edits, it's too much. There's a strong culture of working overtime to the point where you feel guilty for working just 8 hours a day or just 40 hours a week. Management makes it seems like they're OK with you leaving on time, but you can just feel the lingering annoyance when you ask to leave on time. They also pay far less than other companies in the area, which I learned after being in the industry awhile and speaking other people in this line of work. Ive always assumed they keep their hourly pay rate low so you're more inclined to work overtime. There is very obvious favoritism and some employees are provided more opportunities than others. Management is also not open to criticism even though they state that they are. If issues are brought up that have to do specifically with management nothing changes. If concerns are raised and they don't have to do with management, they are more likely to be addressed.
