I have been working at Waitrose part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Clean shop floor.
    Polite managers
Well mannered customers; much more polite than other supermarkets.

    Cons

Sometimes customers can be over-demanding, rude and condescending and expect too much from.

The tills are often understaffed, so I often have to leave my stock replenishment job to go on the tills and this slows me down a lot; then managers wonder why stock is put out quick enough!!!

Pay could be higher, but then again staff benefits are very good.

    Advice to Management

Please recruit permanent till staff and stop this 'modern Waitrose' nonsense where all partners are trained on all sections, this would make my stock replenishment job easier. It is better to be well trained in one section of the store, than trained to mediocre standard on all sections!
