    Cons

Not many cons, just that they need to have more opportunities for graduates in the UK

I have been working at Walt Disney Company full-time

    Pros

Amazing content, ethical company, scope to get involved in other lines of business outside ones own function

    Cons

Senior management favouritism hidden behind the term "Disney fit". It's not what or how you work but how long and who you're close to. Those at the top maneuver allies into roles to prop their own roles up

    Advice to Management

Cut through the corporate, political approach to promotions and talent management and bring in something new and fresh. Give your HR dept some muscle

I have been working at Walt Disney Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits - free Disney park tickets, decent pay and holiday, Disney sample sales, movie screenings, additional day off at Christmas, 35% Disney store discount

    Cons

Most people love working here so they never leave, this results in no opportunities for progression and some stale and lazy employees who don't do a lot but know they have it good!

Favouritism amongst management - different rules for different employees.

If you're executive level don't expect to progress to manager, it's very rare as no promotions available

    Advice to Management

Shake things up and remove those not pulling their weight, this will make room for new ideas from those who actually want to progress and bring fresh energy to the organisation.

Employees are really starting to get fed up of having no career prospects.

Change the structure so employees feel like they can progress in their career at Disney rather than having to go elsewhere for a promotion.

I worked at Walt Disney Company full-time

    Pros

Strong company culture, and endless stream of engaging projects and products to support. Reasonably good work life balance (9-6), with some busy periods with a stronger push.

    Cons

Takes 1.5-2 years at least to move up each level of the heirarchy

I worked at Walt Disney Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - health/dental care
    - free pass to Disneylands all over the world
    - flexible hours

    Cons

    - zero progression opportunities from middle management down no matter how hard you work
    - bullying culture
    - work is not varied. Small cog big wheel culture e.g. there is a person who is responsible for only watering plants
    - middle management who struggle to progress themselves will take credit for your good work
    - cliquey
    - other than Disney passes, no good perks - at Christmas we pay for our own lunch etc
    - generally have to go through lots of people to make decisions but that's expected with a valuable brand
    - lots of unmotivated staff who have been there for their entire careers with no progression

    Advice to Management

Recognise the efforts of those who are ambitious and want to succeed at the company.

I worked at Walt Disney Company full-time

    Pros

The Disney 'brand'. The fun perks such as screenings, merchandise sales and park passes.

    Cons

Privvy to much and experienced some bullying from many levels of management. Certain staff 'went through' assistants like pairs of socks and treated junior staff appallingly. Rather than act upon such treatment HR were keen to let those same people behave in that same way thereby costing the company in new recruitment costs, payoffs and alike. Disney is a big company and there are some very good people. However knowing that even at the executive level this type of treatment of staff is allowed means my time there left a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully the new UK head will shake things up a little.

    Advice to Management

Treat your staff how you would like to be treated.
