Cons
Work life balance. The usual retail and food service issues. But the day to day life in never dull or mundane

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at Wawa part-time for less than a year
Pros
401k, various benefits, the pay is okay I guess
Cons
Management plays favorites, you can't really trust anyone. Lots of two faced people. Everyone who is permanently there has this dark cloud of misery hanging above their heads. Zero work/life balance. When I was first hired they tried to regularly schedule me at night and then come in the following morning on little sleep. I had to fight tooth and nail to get off of register and train on another task in the building. Everything task or responsibility is extremely easy but everyone treats it like they're these extremely complicated tasks that you need training for. I encountered a lot of toxic and very unprofessional people from CSA's all the way up to management. Just some really rude people who otherwise probably shouldn't be in a position where they're dealing with customers. Some coworkers were sleeping with eachother as well, with their relationships being publicly discussed by other coworkers. I think what really did it for me was when I was threatened by a coworker on the main floor in front of both a customer and the Night Manager, which I then requested that the Night Manager report to the GSM, while I also notified the GSM myself. Nothing was done. Now that coworker is being promoted to a Supervisor. I've considered going above my GSM's head but is that really going to do anything at this point? Aside from all of that, I've never once gotten an employee review. At my store, the culture & value is an outright lie.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Wawa full-time for less than a year
Pros
The company actually seems to care about its employees, and if you stay with Wawa long enough it really can be a solid career. Stock options and great salaries for higher end management positions are all achievable if you baseline care about your job. Do good work and strive to get promoted and they'll take care of you more than the enormous majority of companies.
Cons
Service industry hours are generally tough, but 3rd shift is brutal. Unless you're really a night owl, working 10pm to 6am is just draining. 1st and 2nd shift are busier shifts, but the work/ life balance was better for me because I wasn't KO'ed all the time.
