    Pros

The management of this company really know how to foster the best possible work environment, extremely supportive and really push you in the best possible way. They encourage rather than cracking the whip. I really can't fault anything about this company in terms of how it is run or their products for that matter. The hours are sociable and they really have a brilliant way of getting the best out of everyone. Had a great time there and sad to leave.

    Cons

As a company I have no complaints whatsoever as to how they treat employees!

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you do!

I worked at Web.com (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary is fair, that's about it.

    Cons

My team manager was not qualified enough for the role and had extremely poor people management skills.
Team morale was extremely poor and there was no support at all from management when it was needed.

    Advice to Management

Really need to sort it out, when people ask for guidance on business rules and logic then you need to support them.
    Work on raising morale.

    Pros

As web.com took over scoot.co.uk I only noticed cons no positive at all unless u were stupid enough to apply for a managers job were you were brain washed into convincing the sales team into pushing a cheep and nasty product onto the unsuspecting British public . Baisicly ripping people off not good for the uk economy

    Cons

Scoot was a fab place to work not now no pay rises for senior staff ,ok if you come in unexsperianced and you don't mind ripping people off for a living .no one knows what the hell is going on .they do not like forward and free thinkers and this is the honeymoon period God. help them

    Advice to Management

Look after the good staff deliver a product that works

    I worked at Web.com full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Once you learn their Byzantine rules, they're incredibly easy to follow.

    Cons

The content you're expected to create is shameful. You would never put it near a portfolio of work.

They expect you to finish all work given in a day, no matter how understaffed you are, or how ludicrous the copy queue is for that day.

The website designs sold to customers would have looked cheesy in 1998.

QA team is incredibly anal about points that are irrelevant to quality copy, poring over minutiae and enforcing outdated SEO ideas.

The administrative/uploading system used is slow and ponderous and breaks in most browsers. It also has lots of bugs that make it easy to lose information. Worst of all, it demands spending a great deal of time copy-pasting lots of small segments of text into tons of different boxes, wasting minutes of the copywriter's time in order to save seconds for the "designer," whose sole purpose is to select from a list of six or so ageing templates and choose the colours to go on it.

    Advice to Management

    None that they could implement.
