I have been working at Webanywhere full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I've worked for many companies over my 15 year career. Webanywhere is different. The company genuinely practices what it preaches because it realises that sacrificing some pennies today to do the right thing pays dividends over the long term.

    Cons

    Career path is not clear.

I have been working at Webanywhere full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Met some great people and got promotion rapidly whilst people were being fired and leaving at a high rate. I did gain substantial technical knowledge from competent colleagues.

    Cons

CEO is delusional and a narcissist. I tried to channel a constructive request that he needed to go see a doctor but not sure if that happened. He treats people abominably and seems oblivious to any kind of healthy working culture. He jumps on various things like a kid in a playground but his constant ridiculous expostulations make him impossible to work with. Staff turnover presents as much instability as it does opportunity. There are some good initiatives but they quickly become too cynical.

I worked at Webanywhere full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Lots of lovley people work for this company

    Cons

The management are all one family who dictate what happens even if it's not their specialist area. Sales is the only passion of the company and the CEO is very self obsessed with little interest in his staff. Also the pay was pathetic.

I have been working at Webanywhere full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Good Central Location, Great Staff,

    Cons

What can I say about webanywhere that hasn't already been said on here before. This company is a disgrace the most dis functional place I have worked at during my professional career . At the helm is Sean an irrational, delusional individual who treats his staff like his toys in his webanywhere toy box. The man will never learn, many good people have come and gone giving opportunity for the business to grow, yet each time his my way or the high way attitude is holding the business back. If there is something he does not like, or disagrees with he will conduct himself in such a way that it can only be compared to a spoilt child, throwing a temper tantrum, or leave a fake review on here, to allow him to continue walking through ignoring the collapse around him. If you want to further you career and achieve your goals than I would advise avoiding this place like the plague.

I worked at Webanywhere full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Throughout my career I have never felt compelled to write a review on Glassdoor, but on this occasion, I feel a sense of responsibility to help you with your decision before potentially joining Webanywhere. The people there are amazing. There is a real feeling of togetherness - they all feel each others pain and have developed strong relationships to deal with the erratic behaviour of the owner.

    Cons

To be clear, Webanywhere is really three separate businesses under one brand. Under the Webanywhere umbrella sits, Education: Product, School Jotter - an outdated website content management system designed for schools (written many years ago) Workplace Learning, they are a reseller of a Learning Management Solution called Totara. They have no content therefore no intellectual property but have some very clever technical people in Poland that help them win business that nobody else wants. Ventures - This consists of various iterations of the SoundBranch product, but as the products don’t solve any major business problem, the owner is desperately trying to make a square peg fit into a round hole. The result: employees are forced to use the products which they feel hinder their day jobs and sales people forced to show products to clients that either are not finished or just don’t compliment their existing product portfolio. As part of your process to decide on your next move, I would strongly advise you to search on LinkedIn for previous employees. This will give you a feel for their high employee attrition rate and I am sure previous employees will give you an off the record account of their experience.

    No Opinion of CEO

I worked at Webanywhere full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Being honest, the manager who interviewed me at the time called me back in his own time to advise me against taking the role as he hated the place - he didn't last long. Needless to say I took the role and worked there for over 4 years. I saw the place place grow from 20+ staff to more than 100 (including Poland & US Offices). The team I worked in were great and all got on, management not so much. I got paid good money, not the basic - commission earned I mean. It was my first position in Education, a sector I'm still in today. School Jotter in its day was one of the best school website solutions available to schools.

    Cons

The targets are pulled out of a had. When I started it was £6k per month, when I left it was £35k per month. No one hit target every month towards the end and the whole team I worked with left over a 12 month period. Selling solutions that weren't ready to be live. Over promising and under delivering a lot.
