Another Boys club

Pros

Vacation/PTO , flexibility of working remotely.

Cons

Another good old boys club. Managers are all buddies and take care of each other by promoting one another just to get a pay raise. If you’re not in the club, you aren’t treated with respect. Many broken promises by immature leaders who do not belong in a management position.

Pros

-While we're focused on the customer, most leaders know there is a human side to the business as well. A focus on the people is one of Werner's core values. -Competitive medical, vision & dental plans -Very good PTO plan - every employee starts with a minimum of 3 weeks + holidays -Paid parental leave plan for new moms & dads -Adoption reimbursement -Tuition reimbursement-undergrad & grad programs -Paid sabbatical leave for those with 20 years of experience with the company -Support for professional development through in-house or external training -Open door environment where feedback and new ideas are encouraged. There are also multiple avenues to provide feedback, even anonymously of employees prefer it. -Flexible work environment, making a healthy work/life balance

Cons

-There is constant change. This is no different than any other growing company. Change is good, but the company could improve in thinking through change and ensuring that communication is a critical piece to any change management process. Everyone reacts to change differently, so thinking through the various reactions is important.
