This business is circling the drain.

Pros

Pay is above market, until you see what they want from you.

Cons

VERY poorly run. Life is too short to work like this. They just hold on for dear life and hope nobody else quits today. They don’t make an effort to make it better. Year end meeting (Christmas Party) is so cheap. They literally invested NOTHING in it. Everything was provided by vendors. The location, the food, the gifts/door prizes. At this meeting, that should have been motivational, we were chastised for not using enough payroll hours when we have staff quitting left and right. I wouldn’t even hire a friend that I knew needed a job to work in this environment. They care nothing about the techs. So much work to do for so little pay by comparison. They praise the docs when they find another way to take advantage of the patients. Contests on contests on contests with pitiful prizes that are often never rewarded. They ran a months long contest that required all kinds of tracking and data entry that just died at the end with no mention of what happened. Severely understaffed. CEO says “We run a lean staffing business model and that’s not gonna change.”

TERRIBLE PLACE TO WORK.

Pros

So many openings and advancement opportunities because everyone is quitting.

Cons

Shady business practices. Especially in billing. Not enough people running an office when locations are busy. A technician will do every job. 1 person testing, charting, prepping, answering calls, doing billing, sending out reminders, doing referrals for the doctor, collecting copays, checking insurance, and anything else the doctor asks of you. Long waits for patients because the company Over books and double books with no help offered. You will be encouraged to work at home. In fact, You will find the only way to keep up with responsibilities in the office is to do it while you’re off. Sales matter more than patients. Period.

Pros

Pay is good. Opportunity to advance within the company is good because everyone higher up is quitting.

Cons

Extreme "lean labor model" means working alone or with one other person. Locations are busy, patients jobs get lost because you have no time to train staff, upper management yells to increase sales on various items, you're made to feel insignificant and you receive absolutely no positive feedback whatsoever, group chats are just bragging contests, expected to work nonstop and make your life revolve around your job, multiple location travel with no compensation regardless of how far you're traveling, disgusting contests that belittle employees, infighting because of said contests, overbooking and overscheduling appointments, forced to go pester businesses near by with marketing material, extremely shady corporate decisions, heavily encouraged to do work at home and on your days off, coworkers and upper management stepping on each other's toes to advance, etc. Lost goes on.
