I have been working at Westinghouse full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Nuclear Experience, has global connections and covers the main elements of the Nuclear Life Cycle. Given a sound career with opportunities to develop.

    Cons

Can be confused, causes work when not necessary. Not very efficient in process and procedures and not always understanding of global cultural differences.

I have been working at Westinghouse full-time

    Pros

I have found Westinghouse to be a good company to work for. Benefits are reasonable, the work is challenging and often abundant, and colleagues are competent, intelligent people. The experience gained is valuable.

    Cons

The downsides I feel have been rooted in misguided or perhaps short-sighted management.

    I worked at Westinghouse

    Pros

    Cons

Project came to an end and due to the Nuclear industry at Sellafield going through a massive change in who and how it was managed Westinghouse down sized its team, which involved my position

I have been working at Westinghouse full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Slow Steady Environment, fairly safe in the UK and sheltered from the Americans... for now.

    Cons

Terrible management. Executive management even worse. Losing good people on a daily basis. Terms and conditions are being eroded and the organisation is failing.

I worked at Westinghouse full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Surrounded by technically gifted people. Literally a mixing pot of who's who in the engineering ranks around Pittsburgh

    Cons

Steering the ship without a rudder. Artificial deadlines to squeeze work out of people. Unattainable goals for merit increases. Constant chaos. People constantly joining a project at the front end and moving on before real deadlines and measurable work occurs. We called them gypsies. Constant meetings with no added value. Managers would bill projects they never worked on or contributed to just to remain relevant.
