I have been working at Whole Foods Market part-time

    Pros

Pay very precise (every overtime minute gets paid) even if not very high, general environment very good, better than any other retail job I've ever experienced, relaxed atmosphere but very busy at times

    Cons

all the hype around the core values is essentially fake

I have been working at Whole Foods Market full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They hire just about anyone. So if you need a job apply here.
    No english no problem
No customer service skills no problem
    No leadership skills no problem
    Made my point

    Cons

What team member happiness? I don't think this has been a thing for a while.
Standards are not as high most people think.
so behind the times with ordering, Stocktakes, and most other things
Senior Leadership is very poor and disorganised
    Too many to actually list

    Advice to Management

My advise to regional leadership would be to not act as though they are better than the rest of the team members I am sure that this is not what wholefoods was built on. Maybe they should chasing so many different trends and focus perfecting what their core. Stop forcing individual agendas on to the stores and start to do things more fairly. Start to try and understand why team member turnover is so high and maybe do something to fix it, like treat them like people that have lives and feelings.
look at doing fixed shifts for the team members so that they are able to plan there lives better with rotating weekends off.
Stop plotting and scheming and doing things in secrecy and be the transparent company that you claim to be. Please try and start to give people closer to what they deserve as opposed to doing their rating before even doing the job dialogue.

I worked at Whole Foods Market full-time

    Pros

Easy workload, pay not to bad and they do a paid time off scheme of 7 days a year.
you can put your own stamp on the way things are done.

    Cons

Archaic systems for everything from payroll/clocking in, stock and ordering and analysis. Senior management and regional office are so deep in delusion they cannot see over it. The stores are surviving on pre-pared foods and whole body and the rest is getting eaten alive by competitors and they are throwing all there USPs out of the window in a bid to save money.

    Advice to Management

Find another job before Amazon realize how full delusional you all are and start piling the pressure on. Soon to be just another generic grocer.

"Less pay than other groceries while expecting more"

I have been working at Whole Foods Market part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers and you get a few benefits such as 25% discount, 10% of amazon for now and a few minor things here and there.

    Cons

Not enough pay for what they expect of you. There are other groceries that pay more for you to sit down and scan away. But wholefoods force you to stand all day long, pack for the customer, sometimes carry their bags, provide top customer service which means you basically become a servant for the customer all while paying less than others. You are basically treated like trash and customers like gods.

    Advice to Management

Please treat your employees much better, and don't expect them to do way more than all other grocery stores while paying less than them.
