I have been working at Wiggle full-time

    Pros

Very flexible company and with a very open attitude to employment. Very modern in all ways and a great place to work.

    Cons

There are actually no cons that I can really think of, being really picky I would say its 40 hours a week but that isn't really an issue for me

    Advice to Management

Advice would be to keep moving in the direction you are and continue to pursue the values. The company is growing very fast, don't lose the values and friendly environment!

I have been working at Wiggle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Distended environment, good colleagues, working independently, the security of having a job and getting paid every month.

    Cons

Very narrow scope for career progression, poor development opportunities, lack of encouragement to move on within the company, not keen on releasing resources into other departments.

    Advice to Management

Managers should be more communicative and share more information with their employees and should also share their subordinates´ achievements with their own line managers.

I worked at Wiggle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-Great place and environment to work in.
    -People are friendly

    Cons

-Mangers don't listen to their staff needs
-Hours are awful, although they say it's flexible hours, it's only flexible if its beneficial to the company.

-communications are terrible between other departments
-they don't care about you or your work load
    -focused on numbers only
-they're hot on targets and not take into account you have other duties. If they do, your target is amended at different rates (depending on who deals with it)
    -nothing is consistent.
-you will be given other tasks and still expect to hit all your targets
    -no healthcare or benefits given
    -sick pay is non existing

    Advice to Management

listen to your employees and stop forecasting tough targets.

I have been working at Wiggle (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Nice working environment across all sites
    - Fast growing company, excellent if you're interested in business dynamics
    - Interesting people. Certain employees within the company are very passionate about what they do and this can go a long way
    - Relaxed dress code
    - Staff discount, perfect for cyclists/runners/swimmers
    - Working can be flexible within certain job roles providing you're fair and reasonable
    - A lot of people don't like HR here at Wiggle (there are a few problems) but overall I find the person that heads up the department an asset to the company

    Cons

    - Departments work very independently and communication between them is a known problem
    - Staff are seen as disposable, especially within the Processing department and lower job roles
    - Progression and promotion are difficult to come by unless you 'know the right people'
    - Smaller projects and departments are often overlooked and not recognised for their achievements. Support for these smaller (but equally important roles) is poor

    Advice to Management

I don't feel the Staff Hub works very well at all for staff communication, heads of departments need to make themselves more visible to employees and engage with them more. Remember that every person in Wiggle plays an important role within the company, from the people picking the orders to the high level management, everyone should feel valued.
Don't get so involved in large projects that smaller, but important, everyday needs still need to be met.

    Great teamwork
    Agile software development

Modern software tools, MS Visual Studio 2015, Git version control - not cutting edge, but better than most software jobs

    Cons

    High turnover of staff
Everything in transition at the moment
    Office politics sometimes an issue

I have been working at Wiggle full-time

    Pros

    Interesting products
    Passionate employees
    Lovely offices

Wiggle employees really want to do well for the company and genuinely love the sports they represent.

    Cons

    No benefits
    Awful maternity policy
    Staff seen as disposable

Wiggle do not offer any gym, healthcare or financial rewards. The "enhanced" maternity policy is a joke (2 weeks 100% pay, 4 weeks 90% then statutory).

Although there are running and cycling clubs, these are organised by staff for mates without official company involvement.

Places on wiggle events are given out as long as you review the event.

Company is happy to see staff working beyond the 40 hour standard contract with no overtime pay or thanks. Life work balance mentioned in wiggle jobs adverts actually laughable.

Locks on the tea and coffee cupboard as if all staff are thieves.

H&S staff patrolling the office incase anyone dares to leave a bag, cereal box or even products being reviewed for purchase on desks / cabinets.

Finally - TERRIBLE bike storage for people who cycle to work! It's been broken into multiple times and is in a dark and very quiet corner of the carpark. Not safe for people finishing work late in the evening. Maybe CEO is unaware since he is chauffeur driven to and from London almost daily.

    Advice to Management

Support and reward your employees so that they feel valued. Stop acting like everyone wants to work for wiggle and that anyone can be easily replaced. Improve bike storage facilities for staff who cycle!

    THATS IT!!

    Cons

    Bad it management
IT ops team that is more likley in keeping the lights off
Management boys club with no clue about the nature of the businesss
IT decisions left to people that dont understand the issue
IT management that employs subject matter specialist then ignors all advice and wondrs why things dont work

Get some training and understanding of buiseness and IT
Hand in your notice and allow true passionate people doo good for the company and not themselves
