    I have been working at William Hill full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Excellent career opportunities.
    Working in a fun environment.
    Excellent reward and recognition.
    Work with some exciting and knowledgeable people.
    Working in an exciting industry, were no two days are the same.
    Ability to gain excellent retail and customer service experience.

    Cons

    Working here not as straight forward as people think, due to compliance regulations on the industry.
    May be asked to cover shifts at short notice due to absence.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work with regards to employee engagement.
    Perhaps look at improving the staffing structure to aid staffing issues when absences occur.

    I worked at William Hill full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Nice to meet customers, majority of which were friendly
    close to LBO staff, one was like my second mum!
    Always had a laugh at work

    Cons

    Depending on your area manager, your life could be hell
    promised things would happen and they really didnt
    long hours

    Advice to Management

    Treat staff who want to progress better, allow more opportunities for development, especially when someone has been there a long time

    Working with dedicated people at shop level

    Cons

    Very poor senior management, who do not value the colleagues workjng for them, very poor pay, shop colleagues facing daily abuse from customers

    Advice to Management

    Work in a betting shop for 13 hours a day mostly single manned and then see how feel, not to mention the abuse from the customer's

    Was quite an easy job once training was complete. Didn't really have to do much if you didn't work in a busy shop.

    Cons

    Bad management, didn't actually care about employees.

    Quite an easy job, enjoyed the people who I worked with and have made life time bonds.

    Cons

    Long hours and the job can become quite monotonous. Doing the same thing day in and day out
