Former Employee - Account Coordinator in London, England

I worked at Wolters Kluwer full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Working from home once per week

    Cons

Favoritism of account coordinator department is the rule. If the manager likes you you can do whatever you want. Brain wash about values of the company and how good they are in their field. Meetings for every single stupid thing where you cannot clearly express yourself. Manager not flexible at all. Staff control through idiot activities such as what they call "highlights": every 2 weeks you must send to the line manager a list of what you have done in 2 weeks, if you received any good word from a co-worker, what you achieved. And through a program called Sales force, a program used to close cases that you deal with. They pretend to invest in training by using an internal platform, but their training is very poor. Dulcis in fundo: once per year you have to discuss a topic of your choice in front of a lot of people. Based on this your manager gives you points, if you reach a high score they give you pay rise (miserable) no matter what your performance is during the year.
