Easy job with low pay and no advancement options

    Pros

    Good benefits. Friendly atmosphere.

    Cons

Low pay. Raises are terrible. No Christmas bonus. Profit sharing is very low. They appreciate lazy employees and don't give there respect to the hard workers. This company was great to work at years ago but now it is just absolutely terrible. If you like to gossip and get paid very little this might be the place for you. Highly recommend anyone who is seeking to get paid well to stay clear fromy this place. This company does not offer pay increases for individuals who offer to learn new job tasks. They view all there tasks and employees as easily replaceable which is why theyou don't give good raises.

Stable work but employees need a raise

21 Aug 2015 - Factory Worker in Camden, AR

    Pros

Wooster Brush has been around since 1851 and is a very stable company. They do not lay off their employees, and they do not run production on Sundays.

    Cons

No dental or vision insurance, and wages are not competitive with other local companies. The hourly factory workers have had no significant raises in over 10 years. Single income homes can't make ends meet, and two income families with children are struggling, also. There is a "zero tolerance" policy concerning sexual harassment, but the supervisors and management are not properly trained to deal with it.

    Pros

Friendly work environment! The company truly cares about their employees! Good vacation and holiday package, also insurance is paid with no cost to the employee, plus many more perks.

    Cons

Old fashioned systems and machines. Sometimes the technology seems a little behind times... Also, it can be a little unclear how to advance within the company....

    Pros

Decent health insurance. Steady hours. Good amount of vacation.

    Cons

Low wages and unethical labor practices. No eye or dental coverage. Almost no chance for advancement even for the very best employees. Atmosphere here is very much a good ole boys club. Large disparity in pay for doing the same work. Not a good long term career choice.

    Roller review

    Pros

Steady work, overtime on Saturdays if you don't mind the lifestyle disruptions.

    Cons

Management doesn't do comprehensive evaluations based on job performance. In other words you are extremely lucky to get any kind of raise after you've been employed here for any amount of time. You begin to feel underappreciated and used. Good attendance and willingness to go above and beyond in your job have no impact on your supervisor or the upper management.
