I have been working at Workday full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company culture. Opportunities to move around if you are part of development. There is a lot of good energy around the growth of the company overall.

    Cons

If you are part of the support organization get ready for politics, long hours, little to no career growth, and pressure to churn out as many cases as you can. In the past year I've seen 8+ of my support colleagues quit or move on to other roles. Each and everyone of them had similar sentiments about how support is the least popular department at Workday. Management favors yes-people and try to bully the hard-working more capable people into working the hard cases while the yes-people have it easy. If you are a new college grad be wary about joining support as a generation workday(gw) team member. I've seen many overly eager to please gws receive all the high severity cases only to be over worked, stressed out and being overlooked for promotions. Most eventually leave in frustration. Support management discretely encourages their analysts to ask development, development managers, and product managers for help. But as soon as they receive a complaint from development management about why their analysts are asking so many simple questions they quickly put the blame on the analysts. I've seen and heard certain support management raise their voice and talk to their analysts in a condescending tone.

    Advice to Management

The CEO Aneel needs to listen to your HR complaints and do something before support falls apart or gets hit with a lawsuit.

    I worked at Workday full-time

    Pros

Phenomenal product. Larger extended team. Strong messaging. Training. Excellent marketing.

    Cons

Microscopic territories and yet with huge quotas. Lack of respect from sales management. "The product should sell itself".

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the oracle model of throwing of ton a reps into a territory to see who rises to the top and cast aside the rest. Way too many reps. Much unhappiness in the rank and file with only 10% reps making club. How many more veterans will leave after their pre ipo stock is fully vested ?
