    Pros

Basic salary should be more competitive

    Advice to Management

    Look at salaries!

I have been working at Wowcher full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Used to be fun and fair

    Cons

Fun drained in the past year! Loads of good people left, they know the product is on its knees. Shame. They wheeled back a ‘leader’ coz she failed elsewhere and who rules by bullying. Alienated the whole team within a week and killed the atmosphere. Also reeks of hypocrisy to demand people in on time and at their desks when certain ‘leaders’ are late every day and leave an hour early to catch a train back to birmingham or Manchester! Wake up! More will leave.

    Advice to Management

Listen to staff, don’t bring back deadwood with no skill.

    I worked at Wowcher full-time

    Pros

    Fun Christmas and summer parties
    Cool office layout
If in sales, you have the opportunity to earn money (too much for how unreliable the salespeople are)

    Cons

Communication is a MASSIVE issue!! Wowcher will introduce major changes without first consulting the relevant individuals.
All about sales. Other departments are VERY under appreciated and do not reap any of the same benefits
    Massive lack of training
Promotions are often about favouritism. If you are a good salesperson but an awful people person you will likely be promoted
Turnover is RIDICULOUSLY high and noone seems to care
Practices are far from legitimate and they are happy to work with dodgy merchants just to make money
The HR department is quite honestly a joke.
A lot of unprofessional behaviour at all levels

    Advice to Management

Start trying to retain real talent and people who work hard
Introduce other benefits aside from one day a week free breakfast
    Stop writing FAKE reviews
Realise that the company is more than just a sales team

I have been working at Wowcher full-time

    Pros

    People are mostly nice
    Atmosphere is chilled

    Cons

    Overworked and underpayed
Your direct managers make you feel like you're a big asset to the team and company but overall salary is diabolic. Such high turnover that you end up picking up even more workload constantly but this is never taken into account and it's just something you have to do and accept. Sales people get most of the glory in this company and analysts are under looked and given the scraps even though they literally have to take the brunt of the blame from all departments due to being the middle man for everything.
So many people leave that you end up having to train people new people constantly

    Advice to Management

Appreciate the current employees who are actually working hard for the company.
Review your diabolic salaries that severely under the London average wages.
Be more transparent with your employees

    Pros

Bonus structure is v good. If you're organised and know your market you can take home 5k month on month. My manager was excellent, very nice guy and always available to help. Understood that a happy team is a productive team and did his best to foster that throughout my time there.

You come in at 9 and leave at 6. There is no expectations to stay late to impress management. The only thing that impresses them is hitting targets month on month. Also no arbitrary KPI's which is refreshing. Make money and hit target and you'll be happy & so will the boss.

The people are nice, copy team, imaging are all lovely, its a nice atmosphere to work in. Be a people person and you'll be alright.

    To summarise:
Work hard, be organised, know your market, make the company money. You will do well.

    Cons

Rules change month on month for lots of different reasons, some which are clear some which arent. The nature of FMCG means this isnt unheard of, but better communication/planning could be better.

Day to day compliance is a nightmare, so much uneeded stress. Salespeople could get much more done if that didnt take up half of the day.

Very little chance to progress unless you stick it out. Even small promotions would mean a lot and increase retention rate.

    HR

    Advice to Management

Give imaging a small bonus if a image they did becomes a WOW deal. Would really incentivize new images and ensure they are done to the highest standard.

Be more generous with the basic once people have proved themselves. Amount of time+money wasted because people move on seems ridiculous, what is an extra 5k when compared to 6 months training + learning alongside a low target.

    Pros

You can get decent commission in sales
    Meet some great people
    Parties are fun

    Cons

Immature and unprofessional people in the office
No interest in developing you, only in trapping you with long notice periods if they want you to stay
CEO is patronising, condescending and unprofessional
Only interested in turning a quick buck to sell
    HR is untrustworthy

    Advice to Management

Start caring about people or stop managing.
