I have been working at XLN full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I have been an employee at XLN for around 7 months and I really enjoy it so far. There is a very youthful environment, everyone is really friendly and I have an excellent team to help support me. I started a personal business venture and I have been very overwhelmed with the the support from the company and I will be eternally grateful. They truly believe promoting from within and I am surrounded by people who have worked their way up which is very encouraging. There's free fruit on a Monday and free breakfasts on a Friday so you can't really go wrong with that.

    Cons

Breakfast is amazing but could be more more healthy options ... could be more fruit?

I worked at XLN full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great friendships to be made, fantastic break rooms and extras included as standard such as free drinks every last Friday of the month, free fresh local fruit on Tuesdays and free breakfast on a Friday Shifts on broadband range from 8am-8pm and 1 Saturday in every 3, not everyone’s cup of tea but personally I have always found this as a bonus as you get a day off in the week and it’s nice to do 11-8 every now and then. They have tried their best to keep staff employed during the corona virus outbreak and majority are working from home with full pay.

    Cons

No car parking available - can use public car park but this ranges from 40-80 a month. Staff often complain about the office being too hot, never anything being done about this. Little appreciation for hard work, progression can be made but most likely would earn less money as you get no pay rise, put more hours in and no bonus available. When I joined was a great environment people were motivated to progress and opportunities were there if you put your head down but in the past 6-12 months it has become a very negative environment, you over hear a lot of staff who are wanting to leave, a lot of senior agents already gone and now left with newer less knowledgeable people and with less support it is very evident that they are struggling. There is also people who are pals with their managers etc and getting benefits from this, lots of activities taking place which definitely would file a great HR case. Office is also full of people that are out to get you constantly picking up on things that you do in order to try and make themselves look better. Basically like the news of the world listening to everything you say and do and then reporting back. Some managers become power mad, probably because there is little else they can do to warrant their role so throw the power about instead.

I have been working at XLN full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Location, free breakfast, free fruit

    Cons

If you are looking for a job, don’t bother with Xln. It is the most awful place I have ever come across. The Senior management team/directors are horrible people. They don’t care how they treat people. You will be sworn at, sexually harassed and treated like dirt. The founder is the worst of them all. He offers women to have sex with him, takes drugs openly infront of his employees and threatens to fire people if you don’t look good, are too fat or the wrong colour.

    Cons

The managing directors and Sales directors are sleazy. Comments made about women are vile. HR dept is full of women and dont do anything about it because they are scared. HR are never there. I went to complain twice and they was never in there office.

    XLN Response

    HR

Hi there, Really appreciate your feedback. Firstly, thanks for everything positive - glad you enjoyed some of the benefits of working at XLN. Secondly, thanks also for your views on what didn't work. We are a KPI-driven business - and indeed, a sales-driven business. We do also work hard to ensure our Trustpilot score is high, as it continues to be the most respected review platform available - trusted by businesses and customers alike. As has been proven by the fact that the vast majority of our managers and leaders started out in junior roles, career progression is something that we're healthily obsessed with at XLN. So it's a shame to hear that it didn't work out for you. Ultimately, sales and KPI-driven businesses can be challenging, and that's not for everyone. But thanks anyway for your time here, and your review - and we wish you the very best of luck in the future. Thanks, XLN

I have been working at XLN full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    > Provides infrastructure to work > Good support from your line manager > Friendly atmosphere > Free breakfasts on Friday > Free fruits on Tuesdays > Lot of opportunities inside the company to progress up in the career ladder > PS4, Pool table & Table Tennis table in break rooms for relaxing during your break. > Close to transportation and easy to commute

    Cons

    > Sometimes you need to work more due to the nature of the work in IT (however compared to the support from your line manager this is not a great negative, as you get lieu time) > No training provided for any professional certification > No flexibility on the timings and you have to work 8 hours a day > Work from home is not something you can do in XLN

    HR Manager

Hi, Thanks so much for your review. Great to hear about your XLN experience so far! We do our best to create a positive atmosphere for all our staff and we're glad you feel supported by the rest of the team. Remote working is something we're looking into so it's good to hear your thoughts on it - hopefully we can start building a business case for it soon :). That said, for certain business-crucial roles it is important to have a person in the office making sure everything keeps running smoothly, and to help build a face-to-face, collaborative team dynamic. If there's anything you'd like to discuss, feel free to call me on 020 7963 9701 to discuss how we can improve. Thanks again, Ameena A.Sameja@telecom-service.co.uk

I have been working at XLN full-time

    Pros

Working at XLN is amazing and its such a privilege to work at such a fast growing, developing company. People - People are friendly and generous with there time and well versed in there area(s) of expertise. Have a question? ask. Want to try something new? you'll get pointed in the right direction. Culture - This is not a typical "Robot 9-5 no life office job!" The office is a fantastic place to work in over looking the Thames. We have a breakout room with a pool table bigger then my bed, a TV for fifa and another TV for the big bang theory, free coffee vending machines, free fruit and free breakfasts. XLNs work culture is first class.

    Cons

If you are looking for a job where you want to have that "I dont want to go to work tomorrow" feeling, then this place is not for you. I look forward to coming into work here everyday. Everyday here is different :)

I have been working at XLN full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Progression is key for any hard worker and XLN do it right! Starting off as an agent myself, I have had multiple promotions in 3 years. As a department manager now myself, I know for a fact that through hard work and a good attitude you can get places in this company! Lovely, inviting offices and free breakfast every Friday :)

    Cons

Nothing to say to be honest except that maybe I could do with free breakfast everyday :)
