Pros

Working for Yellow Freight was a good experience. Great benefits. No, they did not have new equipment, but repairs that needed to be made, to make the job safe, were done. I was proud, of the company I represented and the company, will be truly missed. Best company I have ever worked for. I will miss everybody I worked with and all the customer friendships made along the way.

Cons

None really, aside from older model vehicles and seniority based work. I didn't really believe in the seniority system, as it created a sense of entitlement, amongst the longer tenured workers. I don't think it was the most efficient way, of doing business, as we'd often prove, the people, at the bottom of the seniority roster, was way more quicker and efficient, at doing their job.

Pros

Some great employees and people, especially some extremely dedicated drivers and Terminal Managers

Cons

Communication from upper management is extremely vague, uninspiring, and lacks sense of leadership. Sales team commission is not great and often changes and is difficult to interpret. Processes to rectify errors that is the fault of the company is extremely inefficient, and leads to customers losing faith in the company. Company lacks sense of ownership of its mistakes. Employees are overworked for their salary and often have to go outside of their scope to accomplish tasks. Technology is extremely lacking. Company offers little to no support for the well being of its employees or their development. Goals are often unclear and many managers and VP's "inspire" their teams via fear.
