I have been working at dunnhumby full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The community is strong, good events, generally super nice people, and they are well supported by the company. The people are super able too, detail focused and passionate and investigative. Three lack of product structure allows you to have a higher level of control than you would for other organisations. The company wants to be a tech company.

    Cons

The tech is old school. Releasing new versions of the product requires and approval board and forces teams to release every six weeks. The company feels stuck in doing repetitive consultancy work in places. Product direction is poor, with no kpis, no consistent direction and little clarity in scope.

I have been working at dunnhumby full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I joined dh during the Covid-19 pandemic. I started the recruitment process before the pandemic; overall it was very well organised, I had an initial phone call with someone in HR, then had a proper phone interview, and then was provided with a case study to prepare for the final interview. They have recently changed the case study, meaning that now it's much more relevant to what a media planner will be doing day-to-day. The final interview was very friendly and informal to an extent, which put you at ease. All standard questions, I would just recommend spending as much time on the case study as you can, particularly around the insights and understanding them, and why X might mean Y, etc.

    Cons

I don't really have any cons, only the fact that when I actually started the job, it was during Covid-19. They sent me a laptop and all the equipment I needed, which was great! The only thing I would say is that I only spoke to dh on the Thursday before I started on the Monday, so I was nervous that they may have decided to delay my start date, but I totally understand that they obviously had a lot of HR issues to deal with during the pandemic.
