    Pros

Very friendly place to work, lots of work/life balance benefits and tons of social events The work itself is varied and exciting to work on.

    Cons

Very centred around its London HQ so satellite offices miss out on many things.

I worked at dunnhumby full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people, the culture, Interesting work. Processes always feel like they're trying to improve. A big variety of benefits. There are many positive initiatives such as mental health awarness happening.

    Cons

The company is very London-centric so Manchester (and other offices) always feel like an after thought. Lots of all company level meetings that for an engineer never feel relevant and always full of jargon.

    Advice to Management

Most people don't enjoy the all company invites that are filled with jargon. Stop bring your own lunch and learn lessons, you can't push for mental health awareness and advocate people giving up their break

    Pros

There is a lot of activity @ dh - lots of change. They are focused on engaging their employees.

    Cons

Much of the change is unfocused and difficult to act on before more changes come.

    Advice to Management

Work on the roadmap and milestones ... establish plans that can be achieved quickly before more changes come.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at dunnhumby full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

dunnhumby is full of very talented individuals that are passionate to have an impact. Flexible working environment, great looking London office, a name that has legacy and prestige as disruptors in the retail industry. Amazing culture but not thanks to the senior leadership of the organization but the people in the business. Amazing markets to work in, with attractive challenges.

    Cons

Good talent is leaving due to a variety of reasons: to name a few, lack of recognition from senior management, pay below market, senior roles go to the "in crowd", organization changes have become a sport, and at times there is no real explanation as to why they are happening. There is a lot of backstabbing and political none sense, senior managers openly ranting in the floor about colleagues, very negative and unprofessional behaviours of alfa males. Not to mention the lack of decision making, which is making a business that has tons of potential a money-losing venture. What it is surprising which such a talented exec that at that level there is an us vs them approach and the CEO needs to do something about it.

    Advice to Management

You need to get a grip or you will continue to lose amazing talent. dunnhumby has an amazing name and reputation, the work we do is simply brilliant, but the lack of direction and decision making is shocking. Sort out the reward approach, focusing on revenue alone and forgetting profit is embedding the wrong behaviours in Client Leadership teams. Simplify the offering, stick to the strategy, invest in your people and STOP making reactive decisions that are promoting a short-term mentality.
