Pros

- The product is great, and there is plenty of innovation happening constantly. - The company is quite 'agile' which means you will see a lot of different projects. - Some genuinely smart, talented, nice people to work with. - Great office location, the overall environment is quite pleasant with some nice perks (food, snacks, Friday drinks) - Can be a good learning experience.

Cons

- A handful of rigid personalities (again, depend in which team you land) put so much pressure on teams and people that it makes it very hard to enjoy the social/ fun part of the job. Especially as the company has a very aggressive growth plan, it means some individuals end up insanely overloaded. - Salary and core benefits (pension, maternity leave) are below average, and as pay rises are not really significant (without any bonus incentive - unless you are part of the management team), it means you stay stuck at the same pay level for a couple of years. Unfortunately snacks do not pay the bills! - As the company is still quite small, career possibilities are quite limited. If you get sick of your job, you will have to leave the company to find something else.

Toxic culture & lack of people focus

Pros

The majority of people at graze are really great - authentic, friendly, experts in their areas and truly a joy to work with.

Cons

Unfortunately, despite there being great people, the business has taken a turn into an extremely toxic environment which is very evident in some teams more than others. Disrespectful behaviour, with a lack of trust has created an environment of micromanagement from above, that makes employees feel belittled, disempowered and scared to speak up. There are some incredibly expert and experienced individuals in the business whose opinions are consistently undermined. While an environment 'to challenge each other' is encouraged, any challenges are shut down. Certain senior leaders do not understand how to receive or give feedback which makes resolving the toxicity extremely difficult. Even the values of the companies are rooted in negativity and blame culture. It's very sad and disappointing to see such a great brand and mission be full of criticism and negativity behind closed doors. While HR does an amazing job at people management and creating a better culture, unfortunately the reality is that other senior stakeholders put people as the lowest priority which overrides any great intention the people team has had.

Pros

- The brand still attracts a lot of good, really capable young talent - Great brand - Great production capabilities

Cons

- The new good hires leave within a year and all the good senior leadership team members left in the past year - Toxic and political environment fostered by the senior leadership team, disguised behind a b-corp with very real little diversity and inclusion efforts - Under the market salaries across the board hidden behind a "slow pace or work-life balance" arguments. The reality is that the toxic and political environment will mean more hours spent thinking about work than actually being disconnected and spending time with your family. - Even though I am not within this category, age-ism is observable and it can be an issue for anyone under 35 yo. The senior leadership team prefers older hires (and often not competent) to young clearly more qualified ones in roles with any real impact - Ancient technology and no real desire to adopt better tools so people can do their jobs, despite the senior leadership's rhetoric of change - Senior leadership team members constantly trying to dump entire projects on teams outside their organisation to save face - good environment to sharpen your push-back skills - No real understanding how to revitalise key parts of the business
