    Pros

    Some fantastic staff, met a lot of great people during my time. Always good to work with like minded people

    Cons

    Not much room to move up the ladder, average pay, not much of a bonus scheme. Emphasis on loyalty cards is silly considering the lack of benefits for the customer

    Advice to Management

    Keep staff in areas where they are most knowledgable, make more full time positions available instead of hiring more part timers

    A good and friendly working environment, decent salary, a 30% staff discount, possibility to ask for more hours when available.

    Cons

    Long opening hours, no particular benefits or bonuses.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to staff concerns.

    Pros

    Super-friendly staff, management were always lovely, even when asking you to do "boring" jobs. They give till training and are always willing to help if you need it! Discount was great, comfortable with switching shifts. Working there was very pleasant and g a 6 hour shift during christmas period wasn't as bad as it sounds!

    Cons

    Salary wasn't as good as it could've been, christmas period was busy and some customers can be very rude at a shop like this.

    Pros

    Working with great products across music, film, games & technology. There are a lot of great people involved across the business. Salary is fairly good at management level compared to similar roles in retail.

    Cons

    A lot of people have been in the business for a long time, coupled with less stores across the business make career progression more difficult. Not as forward thinking a business as they should be considering the nature of the products that they sell.

    Advice to Management

    There needs to be a clearer plan for career and company development. There doesn't seem to be a long term plan.

    Bring the most out of your employees by assigning them specifically to sections they are best in.

    Pros

    Working with products you're genuinely (and sometimes fanatically) interested in. Working alongside people from all walks of life but who share the same interests. Lots of opportunities in store to talk to customers and use your knowledge to make recommendations. Lots of head office staff have been sales assistants, supervisors, managers in the stores, so you'll find lots of people who are really passionate about the company in all corners of the business. Staff discount!

    Cons

    The outlook for the company seems to be positive but it's hard to shake off the 'ailing retailer' label!

    On the ground staff are passionate about the products and freind Y bunch by and large

    Cons

    Idiotic instruction from the people in the know at "the top" and an "ops director" that is one of the rudest self preserving arrogant people known to man

    Advice to Management

    Leave it to the people who know more about products than you do and stop acting as if you are the best retailers known to the high street....

    Pros

    the people who you work with and regular customers who you get to know after a little while. Other than that nothing

    Cons

    Rubbish pay, company doesnt care, 0 hour contracts, no guarentee of hours, no breaks perks arent worth the while or effort

    Advice to Management

    Go back to how the store used to be, the new company is horrible to work for and treat customers and staff horrendously
