I have been working at phs Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Having only worked for PHS for a few years they are the best in the industry. If you work hard this will be noticed and rewarded and progression is something that is readily available if you work hard and want to progress.

Everyone works as a team across all departments and everyone wants everyone to succeed, in all my sales roles previously it has been pretty cutthroat and somewhat lonely, but this is not the case at PHS

    Cons

I've loved every second of working for PHS. Companies in the past have promoted based on a "who you know" mentality but at PHS everyone is given equal opportunities.

One small negative and this is me being picky, is that as I work in the field for 9 hours a day It would be nice if we could have small lunch allowance as clearly not having access to a kitchen or a canteen can prove quite on a monthly basis.

    Advice to Management

Without exception every manager I have had has always been supportive

    Pros

    Rewarding

Generally a good company to work for

    Cons

Don't think I have any cons.

    Pros

    Employees are treated very well

    Cons

    Monthly pay and start time

    Advice to Management

There's a lot of good people employed by yourselves. Job done let them finish work. I regret leaving but I was promised better than I got in my pay slip. You get up at 4am to complete your route you should be paid for the commitment of it. Can't fault the way it's professionally run as a business. Can I come back ??????

I worked at phs Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

-Taking the work van home meant there was no commute

    Cons

    - Pay was very low, not much higher than minimum wage.

    - Pay was always incorrect, any amendments necessary would be added to next month (rather than bacs) which itself would be incorrect.

    - None existent HR/Payroll support.

    - No management structure at branch level

    - Lack of instructions or directions, if you used initiative and it didn't work out well you were ridiculed, if you used initiative and it worked out well it went unnoticed.

    - Cliques form between the workforce, generally speaking drivers/technicians got along well and acted within the best interests of everyone, however office staff only acted in the best interest of themselves, at times creating elaborate and pathetic lies which would be detrimental to the technicians.

    Advice to Management

The branch I worked at was a disaster it would require completely re-organising.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Training on how to treat your staff and if you don’t like your job then leave. I am only here as it’s close to home

I have been working at phs Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    None!
The only good point is that due to awful staff & customer retention they have to make radical changes to survive in the medium/long term future

    Cons

    Service Delivery is non existent.

Staff are treated appallingly - wages/benefits are poor in comparison to other companies.

Customers are ignored and often lied to with a total lack of transparency over contract terms, pricing structure (huge variances across the same product lines) & service delivery (or lack of)

Cliquey old boys club approach to management and interdepartmental relations.

    Advice to Management

You’re clearly in the wrong job if you think things are heading in the right direction.

It’s long overdue for you to conduct a review of your senior teams competencies and behaviours, try looking at some anonymous 360 feedback from direct reports, customers and other departments who interact with them. It may be valuable for you to conduct more in depth exit interviews to capture feedback and stop the avalanche of talented/ambitious employees leaving.

The number one in the UK market place, yet manages to retain a true family feel. A great team who care about customers and colleagues in equal measure

    Cons
