      Pros

The number one in the UK market place, yet manages to retain a true family feel. A great team who care about customers and colleagues in equal measure

      Cons

We need to ensure our customers understand the breadth of services and capabilities we offer.... We are everywhere and offer a number of award winning services outside of our well known hygiene business

Hello, thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review, we appreciate all feedback we receive. It's great to hear you feel there is a family feel at phs, it's always great to read reviews that mention our people culture which is great at phs. Our CEO, David, recently announced our plans for the future which mentioned focus on marketing our services and products which is market leading. Thanks again for your review and your 3+ years service.

Take the van home and good colleagues

        Cons

Workload is too heavy with a lot of forced overtime needed to complete daily workloads. Routing system says work can be completed in about 6 hours, in reality more like 9-10 hours.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Please do be assured that all reviews are read, and fed back to the relevant people. I'd be keen to understand more about the routing system issue you've mentioned. If you would be comfortable having a confidential chat, I'd be grateful for the opportunity to understand more. Pros

The training process is fantastic. You get all the equipment and tech straight away, which is excellent and allows you to really get off to a fantastic start. I started during a pandemic and the support I've had from management and colleagues has been brilliant. I got the feeling very quickly that PHS really care about their employees.

          Cons

No cons so far. Been working from home which has been difficult at times, but that isn't PHS related.

Hi there, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. It's great to hear that things are going so well. We do our best to ensure everyone has their IT equipment and what they need from day 1. And we're certainly doing all we can to support our great teams during this challenging time. Thanks again - Keep up the great work! Henry Field Group Resourcing Manager henryfield@phs.co.uk

            Pros

When you are hitting the numbers the commission available to you is great. Likewise the bonus structure is when hitting targets is generous. Great tools to help you do the job, laptop, phone, car etc... Colleagues are generally really friendly!

            Cons

Answers to questions are slow to materialise internally. If a service is missed at a customer site its difficult to achieve a rapid response from the operations centres. Missed service and a slow response shatters relationship that consultants work hard to develop/maintain. This is also a saturated market, be prepared to wait a while for deals to close.

              Pros

I started working at PHS during the first lockdown, and was worried about support and lack of interaction. This is definitely not something that needed to concern me as everyone has been amazing. The training was delivered professionally and remotely, and I really do not feel that I missed out on the 'classroom' environment. All my work colleagues have been mega supportive and really helped me to become part of their successful team. My manager, Laky, shares his time, knowledge (and sometimes bad jokes!) to ensure we are all up to date with the latest products and news and supports me when I need it. The monthly updates are a great way to keep in touch will all aspects of the business. All in all a fantastic company to work for!

              Cons

              I haven't come across any

                Pros

I joined PHS in 2014 and have enjoyed my time with the organisation. For me, the biggest Pro's of working for PHS Greenleaf have been.... The great colleagues I've worked with over the past 4 years. There are people in this company who for some its more than just a job. There is a lot of care and determination for the future of this business. They have invested a lot of time and sweat in the past. Be their motivations the products, the customers they serve, their colleagues. It is very rewarding to hear people (staff and customers) talk passionately about our products. Greenleaf's offerings are created more for their aesthetics than functionality as with PHS other divisions. We are in an industry where the margins are fine, so balancing up beauty and creativity with the economic demands has been an important part of my job, to give our customers value for money, whilst returning a profit. The levels of support open to us. Be that help from HR, Accounts, IT, HSE, Transport or Procurement. Working in a large organisation there are many experts to go to when you need to. On a personal note, I have always enjoyed problem solving. Barely does a day pass where I don't receive an email or phone call looking for a solution or a compromise to an issue. I hope in most cases they've been achieved.

                Cons

Industry knowledge is essential. Horticulture for example, is a very unique business. We can't necessarily apply a model or strategy that works well for Washrooms or Teacrate and expect it work as well for Greenleaf. Greenleaf has undergone many changes during my time. Change is important and essential, if done well. There's often apprehension and mistrust towards change, its human nature. It's important to involve people into the process and contribute to the improvement. My perception has seen this business sometimes do this well and sometimes poorly. You need the guys who deliver the result to buy in if you want any project to succeed. Local knowledge is absolutely essential. Trusting the decisions of Service Managers and their Technicians. Wherever you sit in an organisation, its not about right or wrong opinions. Different perceptions, but all should form part of the decision making process. A personal one, but often echoed by other management colleagues. Specialist managers being turned into generalists. Balance is required here. It is understood that there are many responsibilities outside your preferred remit. But reviewing the working week and you find significantly more time dedicated to general tasks, and less to the specialism you were brought into the business to deliver, can lead to frustration.

Hi, thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a comprehensive review. You've raised some interesting points and we'll be sure to pass all of your comments onto the relevant departments. Thank you again and we wish you luck in your future.

                  Pros

PHS is one of the best places I have worked, continuous training to make sure you can hit your goals and targets, Team leaders and management are very approachable and will listen to ideas. The team is friendly, helpful and always willing to help out other work colleagues. Great commission structure ££££££

                  Cons

                  Not come across any problems.

Hi, thanks for the great 5 star review. I agree the teams at phs are friendly and helpful. I will pass on your comments with regards to benefits to the senior leadership team.

Great working with a good bunch of people. You spend everyday with the people you work therefore its a blessing coming to work with colleagues every day.

                    Cons

Some teams lack resources - would be good to employ more people.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, we appreciate your comments! You are so right, having a good bunch of people to work with everyday is really important and we are lucky to have such great people at phs. We'll pass all of your comments on, thanks again!

                      Cons

Feedback is not always taken on board. There is very little opportunity to progress

Hi there. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. It sounds like you have a good team - That's great to hear! Im sorry to hear that it sounds like not all feedback is listened to. We have recently launched a anonymous, online Feedback form on the intranet that allows for feedback to be given as well. If there's anything you'd like me to look into, or any specific examples you'd like to give, confidentially - I'd love to hear from you! Thank you again, keep up the great work. Pros

Canteen and great team of fellow workers. I was trained by my colleagues, as the only training received was to promote the company products and sales.

                        Cons

Management who take advantage of the workforce with poor pay and lack of empathy. Salary was pittance compared with a similar role anywhere else locally. My salary was paid incorrectly every single month. Extorted large amounts of money from my salary each month for a pension company called Nest, including my tax rebate for emergency tax paid for 6 months.

Do you experience that how long the hiring process would take at Thermo Fisher? I got my second interview with hiring manager at the beginning of November but I haven’t heard nothing from them. When I’ve emailed them to check in they just said that the process would be slow, no time frame. I would be able to get an offer soon from other company but work as contractor. Should I wait for Thermo Fisher?

                      Alex L.

Applied for a job a few weeks back, got a call from HR yesterday morning about an interview next week. She mentioned she'd shoot me an email with all the interview details, but so far, my inbox is empty. Assuming I'll hear from her early next week, is it normal for them to expect me to show up for an in-person interview on short notice, like couple days?
