Pros
People are nice enough and you can make some really good friends. No bank holidays or weekend working
Cons
Salary is always biggest thing for people to leave. You can basically go 20mins further down the road to Cardiff and get a extra £3k+ on wages for basically the same job.

Hi, thanks for leaving a review. Its always helpful when employees leave a balanced review. As you may know that we constantly review our salaries and bench mark our salaries against Cardiff city Centre. Its great that you have made some good friends whilst working at phs. We like to ensure we have a family feel. Thanks again Ross

Pros
Free Lunch Convenient 9-5 Mon-Fri Overtime offered regularly
Cons
Far to Much Expected for such a low salary. Unable to do job properly as walls are put up. Management Make it up as they go along and pluck random 'new processes' out of thin air and then complain when un trialled processes rolled out across 60+ people go wrong. Management don't listen to staff who ultimately know what they are doing Treated like naughty school children

Pros
Excellent regular communications from the CEO. Competitive salary and progressions opportunities. Internal recruitment and promotion is encouraged and actively supported. Really nice, down to earth people who respect each other and work as a team.
Cons
Cannot think of any if I'm honest.

Thank you so much for your review. You're right - We do get some great communications from the CEO - It's been vital to getting the business through the last few months in the new world Covid-19 has created. Thank you again Henry Field Resourcing Manager

Pros
None I can think of.
Cons
Worked for PHS for 15 years. Used to be great and a prosperous place to work. Years of bad management, no pay rises and then poor pay rises if you consider 1% per year good. Not so good on a low salary. Put on staff more and more with no reward. As the CEO told the entire business in his business update they are looking for better quality staff at less cost. Says it all really. They have not a clue and as previous reviews have stated, a lot of favouritism, one rule for one and one for another and back stabbing is rife. HR are only there to support the business and not the employee so please do not rely on them or even trust them. Spent and wasted a lot of my years at this place the last 3 years very miserable. Should have got out sooner.

Pros
Family-managed feel, lots of variety, opportunity for moment within the company and if course the free lunch if based at head office. The teams genuinely get along and there was no drama, at least in marketing.
Cons
Lower salaries than elsewhere and the speed of growth through acquisitions left the IT department with an impossible task. Internal systems are old and outdated but people seem to work with what they have.

Pros
Canteen and great team of fellow workers. I was trained by my colleagues, as the only training received was to promote the company products and sales.
Cons
Management who take advantage of the workforce with poor pay and lack of empathy. Salary was pittance comparedary was pittance comparedary was pittance compared with a similar role anywhere else locally. My salary was paid incorrectly every single month. Extorted large amounts of money from my salary each month for a pension company called Nest, including my tax rebate for emergency tax paid for 6 months.
