    I worked at reed.co.uk full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I received excellent training. It was well structured and ultimately provided me with a detailed platform to excel in the role.

Positive and enthusiastic environment to work in.

There are plenty of career opportunities to progress in the role as well as move into other departments.

Objectives are clearly laid out across the company.

I couldn't have asked for a better location in London, 5 minute walk from Covent Garden.

    Cons

There are no obvious cons however there were sometimes moments when I wanted more autonomy at work. However this became less of an issue throughout my time at the company.

    Advice to Management

Continue to support your staff and help them succeed.

I have been working at reed.co.uk full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people to work with, love what we do, and people up to management level really care. It's a good, fun place, great location.

    Cons

KPI and micro-management culture would go as far as to describe it as bullying culture in sales and that comes right from the top. This destroys morale and destroys all the good things. Some people get favourable treatment and there's an inner clique which again comes right from the top.

    Advice to Management

Give people the freedom to do their jobs and stop being so controlling in every aspect. Senior sales management need to let their teams do their jobs.

    Pros

Likelihood is that you will work in a great team with lovely people. They all seem to be on the same wavelength - however this could be worrying for the company

Good social aspects with paid-for parties and activities

    Nice location near Covent Garden

    Cons

Excessive tracking of the famous call time KPI - this is very outdated and doesn't actually result in any better monetary results. If you have such a great product, sell it intelligently and this will resonate with your customers

'Inner circle' of team leaders - this leads to the sense of you are always being criticised/moaned about and even laughed at

Military time-scheduling - to the extent of making up 3 minutes of time at lunch due to public transport issues

    School-like feel

    Inconsiderate approach for work/life balance

They are very clever to perceive themselves in a way that they are a great company to work for which really cares about the integrity and happiness about their employees - it's all a front

    Advice to Management

Pull the wool back from your eyes.

You have a 'Love Mondays' campaign every week - you give away free massages, yoga and you STILL have an incredibly high staff turnover.

Focus on what is really best for your employees. If they are treated like they are valued as people, you will not need to spend so much money in trying to keep them stay.

Your Chairman, James Reed says that your sales team are the 'drummers' of your 'circus'. Pay them more!

Stop treating people like they are a part of a circus.

    Great initial training
nice location with a great sandwich shop outside

    Cons

    extremely regimented,
new staff aren't made to feel welcome,
is very much an entry level sales position they offer,
too much middle management that leads to being micro managed
unprofessional management (vaping in the office)

    Pros

    People
    Some managers are very supportive

    Cons

Boiler room sales departments run by a boys club
From top level management down, an obsessive focus on call time as a KPI and ignorance towards other more effective behaviours
    Low salaries
Management have a 'do as I say, not as I do' mentality
Senior management are afraid of change

    Advice to Management

Don't promote unqualified people just because they've been there a long time
