I worked at tajawal full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Has a play area and a 60k coffee machine they brag about all the time

    Cons

Decisions are made by ego, not by business needs Hard work, results, talents, people are not appreciated Politics are used for own advancement. Micromanagement prevails out of insecurity and desires to control others. It sucks out the living light out of creativity and initiative. Lack of integrity and honesty Lack of functioning HR deprt.

    Advice to Management

Sooner or later you will not have the people to back you up anymore

    Negative Outlook

I worked at tajawal full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Decent workplace (after moving from warehouse in Al Quoz) - Flexible working hours - Daily cereal, coffee, games - Employee discounts on travel - OK to learn and then move on after a while

    Cons

    - Very immature management that takes random decisions. - No focus on employee development - People leaving and coming all the time - Employees are not valued except a few preferred by higher management - Multiple senseless projects start and then get thrown away. This is understandable in some cases but it really frustrates when it becomes a routine - Management focuses only on finding work arounds if there is... a issue instead of fixing the actual problem - If you are a silent hard worker, no one will even notice you. You will be only noticed if you brag about yourself or resign. - Salary distribution is not fair. The preferred employees get much higher despite doing less work and achieving less than many other hard working employees

    Advice to Management

    - Focus on fixing the problems instead of finding work arounds - Focus on career growth of people - Treat everyone equally and only judge people by merit instead of color, nationality or previously working with you in some company.

I have been working at tajawal full-time

    Pros

You will be surrounded by good developers with strong technical knowledge.

    Cons

No flexible hours. No working from home. No transportation. Bad internet connection. Bad working environment (working area, chairs, supplies, no dining area, no praying area, limited meeting rooms). Management doesn't aware of Egyptian labor law and employees rights. Dubai team treats egypt team like slaves although some of the guys in egypt team are more qualified than them. Very bad and... unprofessional evaluation process. Overall bad management, most of the time you will feel like working at a governmental agency.

I have been working at tajawal full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible working hours Good location free coffee and fruits ))

    Cons

    - There is no culture there and arrogant people only looking for themselves without considering their teams. - No life balance managers do not know what they want and they change the requirements very often, so you have to work late night or work from home to make their dream come true without any kind of appreciation. - Immature managers, they hire and fire without any clue nor a proper hiring process. -... So many people are working there and most of them are unqualified the reason they got hired because they're either family relative or a friend to somebody working there. - Isolated HR department they don't help you if you asked for something unless you keep asking 100 times, no surprise they changed the team 3 times and still acting the same! - No salary structure so you can find your colleague getting double your salary and doing the same job. - Hard to grow and to learn unless you are self-study.

I worked at tajawal full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Operates in Travel which is a very interesting and dynamic industry. - Good location. - Flexible working hours

    Cons

If you care about your career development and your mental health don’t work for this company. The only things you will learn are arrogance, politics and disrespectfulness. Far from being a proper company, just bunch of people running around, caring about their individual achievements, at all levels of the organization. If it wasn’t for investments given by AlTayyar, the company would have failed financially long... time ago. Young Leadership, not prepared, working in an unstructured ways, following no practices. Their decisions are based only on opinions, what they think and do today 90% will change next day. No transparency and clarity to the lower levels of the organization. Arrogant and inexperienced middle management including tech, product, data, marketing, commercials, contracts etc. with a lot of nice talks but clueless about how companies are actually built and operated. Very limited professional and life experience while pretending to advice you on every aspect of your professional and personal life. No real culture, values or ethics, just bunch of metrics defined by some consultants at the mother company AlTayyar.
