I have been working at the Rank Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have been with Rank for just over 6 months, and the change in the business in this short space of time has been incredible. The new Sheffield Customer Solutions Hub is a really fun environment and now handles all customer contact in a very professional way.

Everyone has got behind the new STARS values, and it actually feels like the whole business now lives and breathes these values.

This is a business that is changing fast - all in the right direction!

    Cons

I.T. support is quite painful. Some departments are not changing at the same speed as the rest of the business which can cause a little strain between teams.

    Advice to Management

Keep moving forward with the modernization of the business

I have been working at the Rank Group full-time

    Pros

This company knows about work/life balance and encourages fun and games in the workplace and socials out of hours. In the head office excellent staff support, communication and incentives.

    Cons

Some dated IT, parking is always an issue if you drive to corporate office. Dated head office but new office is being prepared. Do not support flexible hours and office hours are 9-5

I have been working at the Rank Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people here are great. The delegation of work is fair (taking in individual's capacity) and enabling work and project timelines to be achievable (none of my previous companies did this - a real positive for me). Excellent work life balance (best i have had in any company).

    Cons

Better communication on Company future direction, strategy and plans

I have been working at the Rank Group full-time

    Pros

The people in general are really nice and helpful.
Currently the office is in a good location, soon to be moving further away from public transport!

    Cons

Not great management - new values but these are not followed top down
Job changes month on month (gets larger) - without any extra support, compensation or even a thank you.
Difficult to get jobs done across the business as departments work in silos
Staff in general do not stay long
Old fashioned working arrangements do not believe in flexible working

    Advice to Management

Do not penalise staff for going above and beyond
Modern day working is mobile, there shouldnt be one rule for some and another for others.

    Pros

Opportunity to meet a lot of different people
    Nice offices, great parking
    Close to town amenities

    Cons

A bit corporate, so not all rules sit well with all people, little flexibility

    Advice to Management

Everyone always fears retribution from those above them - listen to all your people from bottom to top
