Juneteenth is a celebration of 155 years of freedom and an important reminder that meaningful action and perseverance can result in profound, positive change. This anniversary provides us with an opportunity to reflect on how we can continue to educate ourselves, support our communities and advocate for equality. The Ares Black Alliance is hosting a virtual learning session today for the Ares Community with Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, noted author, Georgetown University sociology professor, a New York Times contributing opinion writer, and a contributing editor of The New Republic. As a leading voice on race, politics, religion and culture, we are honored to have Dr. Dyson share his perspective and insights on where we are today as a nation and how we can all seek to bring about change in our world.
