Ares closed out #AAPIHeritageMonth with a discussion with Jeremy Lin, the first American-born player of Chinese or Taiwanese descent to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Lin has been playing professional basketball for over a decade including nine seasons in the #NBA, having shot to international stardom as the focal point of the “Linsanity” cultural phenomenon during the 2011-12 season and later becoming an NBA champion in the 2018-19 season. Lin has also become a vocal leader in the #AAPI community speaking out against rising anti-Asian sentiment and systemic racism both on and off the court.
