Some of our team have been rocking some seriously impressive facial hair this month 🧔 As #Movember comes to an end, we’ll be sad to see those funky moustaches disappear. But their legacy lives on! For the past month, we’ve been raising money to help tackle the three biggest health issues facing men: mental health, prostate cancer & testicular cancer. As well as supporting those growing a mo, we entered a team for the annual #MoRun. A massive well done goes to our #MoRunners, who whizzed around Glasgow Green last Sunday – taking on 5Ks, 10Ks and half marathons in some pretty chilly conditions 🏃♂️🏃♀️💨 We’re (almost) ready to start training for next year!
One of the many great benefits of working at AutoRek, includes Yoga Wednesdays! Every Wednesday from 5:45pm - 6:45pm, we have a fantastic yoga instructor facilitating these classes in our Glasgow office. From beginners to yoga masters, these classes are designed to accommodate all levels. As we know yoga is an all-year-round activity with fantastic health benefits however during these long cold winter months nothing beats the winter blues like a re-energising yoga sesh! The mental health and wellbeing of our team is really important to us at AutoRek. And we also want to do our bit to support mental health across our community. So we ask everyone who attends to make a small contribution to raise money for Scotland’s mental health charity SAMH. So our team can get Zen and help a great cause at the same time ✌️
Some of our team representing AutoRek at the Beatson's Sporting Dinner last night. The event raised a fantastic sum of £138k which will help cancer patients and their families across the West of Scotland.
This week we celebrated International Women’s Day by hosting a lovely lunch event in our Glasgow office. We’re so proud to have so many female role models across all our functions at AutoRek. As the company continues to expand, the number of women in the team is also growing. We’re delighted to acknowledge their achievements and recognise their contributions to the company’s success. But as a tech firm, we’re also acutely aware of the challenges of building gender-balanced workforces within the sector. It’s why we continue to offer flexible working and provide training to enable the women in our company to build and develop their careers. By embracing this year’s IWD campaign theme of #EmbraceEquity we are committing to understanding our colleagues’ different circumstances.
