Company Updates

  • Fantastic couple of days hosting our Company-wide conference this week at the Ricoh Arena. From games to 'chat-show' style questions for our Exec, the focus was very much on the excitement of our future. It was wonderful to welcome colleagues from our Krakow and Hamburg offices to HQ in Coventry to share in the fun.

  • Congratulations to our Internal Communications Team who came away with not one, but two merits and an award from yesterday's IOIC Central and Northern Awards 2018. It's fantastic that the launch of our retail benefits platform featured in two of these. Very well deserved by all involved!

  • Great article in the New York Times today on Shell's energy transition and our part in that journey. This is a particularly exciting time for all of our colleagues as we look forward to our future:

Shell Spreads Its Bets Around as It Prepares for a Greener Future

COVENTRY, England - There seems to be little about the scrappy energy company in central England that would appeal to Royal Dutch Shell, the button-down oil giant. The little company, First Utility, is an upstart challenger. It offers friendly customer service, and low prices on electricity and natural gas.

  • Following celebrations for International Women's Day last week, we're keeping the topic of closing the gender gap high on our agenda. Let's support and encourage more women to remain in the workforce and reach senior roles.

Closing the gender gap in engineering & technology

Shell is committed to helping women reach senior roles in engineering and technology. We aim to #makethefuture by closing the gender gap.

  • To celebrate International Women's Day at First Utility, inspirational women across the business received nominations from their colleagues who have been impressed by their work, specific achievements or general approach. A great day of appreciation for our female role models. Thank you to everyone who voted and to all our nominees for continuing to inspire others!

  • A fantastic first week as part of Shell's New Energies division. Our colleagues had chance to chat with Colin Crooks, our new CEO as they enjoyed their morning tea and coffee, which was free for the day from our Barista Coffee Bar. Everyone received a gift bag to mark the occasion and of course, as with any special event at First Utility, there was an abundance of cake...a fitting celebration of everyone's contribution to our success.

Shell completes acquisition of First Utility

Cautionary note The companies in which Royal Dutch Shell plc directly and indirectly owns investments are separate legal entities. In this press release "Shell", "Shell group" and "Royal Dutch Shell" are sometimes used for convenience where references are made to Royal Dutch Shell plc and its subsidiaries in general.

  • Every day is a good day for Good Recruitment...we're proud to be part of the Campaign!

  • Great conversations today at the Belgrade Theatre Job Fair! Thank you to everyone who came to see us to learn more about our opportunities!

  • We're looking forward to this year's Tech Leaders Summit on 14th September where Abed Ajraou, our Group Data and Insights Director will be in his element delivering an animated keynote on the topic of #Datascience #Bigdata and First Utility. We hope to see you there!

  • Great questions from the Glassdoor Team and brilliant answers from Ian on the importance of authenticity and transparency!
