Gracewell have won the ‘Best Mid-Size Care Home Group’ Award at the 2021 UK Care Home Awards. Over the past twelve months, the organisation’s efforts have cemented their position as industry leaders, allowing them to rise to the challenges of operating during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the outset of the pandemic, a highly effective COVID-19 Task Force was established to lead their response to the crisis. Through this group, the organisation’s residents and team members remained safe and well-resourced even through the hardest and most challenging periods. This was symbolised through their ‘Safe-Visits’ protocols in the early months of the pandemic which identified mechanisms that would allow relatives to visit their loved ones in a safe, controlled, and managed way. An impressive #CelebrateCareHome campaign was also launched, which successfully championed care homes and helped to rebuild public confidence in the sector. All of Gracewell's notable achievements over the last twelve months made them worthy recipients of the Best Mid-Sized Care Home Group Award.
Gracewell Healthcare have recently been named as winners at this year’s CIPD People Management Awards. As part of these efforts, the care home providers have witnessed the number of high-quality candidates they recruit increase, while reducing the rising costs of recruitment and cutting the rate of team member attrition. These successes were achieved through innovative recruitment methods, such as utilising social media to attract those individuals who held the values and skills needed to succeed in their care homes, while giving them the opportunity to communicate directly with potential candidates through digital messaging tools.
