π¬ "A couple of years ago, a close family member had a major mental health crisis and I realised that this is an issue and that I had no idea how to help them. I wanted to equip myself with the knowledge and skills to help them and to help others." π§ Starting conversations about your mental health can be hard, but here at Hft we try to make things easier for our staff, with Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA's) on hand to support. π PR and Media Manager Val Proctor MCIPR, has received specialist training provided by the Mental Health Foundation, and is one of our MHFA's who can support to any colleagues who are struggling. π "If a colleague has any issues surrounding their mental health, be it work related or a personal matter, weβre here to listen to you and signpost to the relevant support where needed. Anything you tell us is completely confidential. Weβre not counsellors, but we can point you in the direction of the right support."
