On Thursday 26th September, some of our employees baked delicious cakes in support of Macmillan Coffee Morning. These cakes were then sold to our employees at Naim in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. We raised a grand total of £256 – and the company will be matching this amount to boost our final total to £500. Prior to the cakes being sold, we had a panel of judges who voted on the most decorative cake, as well as the cake which tasted the best! Our winners then each received a bottle of prosecco. We’ve included some pictures of these cakes below. If you enjoy baking and have previous experience in a catering or hospitality environment, apply to our Assistant Chef position via our company website today!
Last month, when the sun was shining and we experienced a glimpse of summer, Naim Audio’s Social Committee hosted our annual Summer Party for all our employees to enjoy. This staff event was held at Salisbury Rugby Club and included a BBQ buffet, an ice cream van and a number of fete games. Some of our employees chose to spend the afternoon catching up with their colleagues in the sunshine, whilst others decided to get involved with the games on offer; including 9-hole mini golf, giant Jenga, boules and a competitive game of rounders! Apply today via our company website if you’d like to join the Naim and Focal team, and have the opportunity to attend our future social events!
Here at Naim, our HR team have recently been reviewing our company benefits. This includes introducing new benefits, as well as enhancing existing ones, and as part of this ongoing initiative, we wanted to share a few of these updates with you: • The employer pension contribution at Naim has increased to 4% of gross salary. • We have introduced a new volunteer policy, where individuals can request up to 2 paid days off per calendar year to volunteer with a charity or not-for-profit organisation. • Our paid company maternity pay has been enhanced to 12 weeks full pay. • We have increased company paternity leave to 3 weeks at full pay, offering an additional week above the statutory amount. • Furthermore, at the start of June we celebrated National Bike Week across the business. In line with this, the company has in place a Cycle2Work scheme where employees can save money on bikes and cycling accessories. It’s great that we’ve seen an uptick in employees taking advantage of this scheme since the start of June. Want to find out more about the company benefits we offer at Naim Audio? At Naim Audio, we are currently halfway through our company-wide walking competition to celebrate National Walking Month. We’ve got 6 teams attempting to walk the length of the Southwest Coastal path during May – that’s a total of 630 miles for each team! The image below shows how far along the coastal path each team has walked so far (for reference, the starting point was Bournemouth). We have incorporated this activity with Mental Health Awareness Week, where the theme is moving for our mental health. Finding the time for movement and encouraging people to get up and get walking is the goal for this year and those taking part in our walking competition have already made a great start. On Friday 1st March, Naim Audio celebrated Employee Appreciation Day where, as a small token of appreciation from the company, employees were greeted with a sweet treat on their desks upon arrival. Our Site Director and other senior department heads also took their turn in front of the camera to express their thanks and appreciation for all our hard-working staff with a video shared across the business. The overwhelming theme was of public thanks, and that without our employees, we wouldn’t be the successful business that we are today. Want to be part of the Naim and Focal team? We have recently launched the Nova PE (Power Edition) as part of our existing Uniti range. This product offers all the features and sophistication that won the Uniti series global acclaim, however it now has more power. By condensing 150W into 8Ω, the Nova PE delivers room-filling audio without compromising on the characteristic Naim sound, making it ideal for experiencing punchy sound through a compact, easy-to-use solution. In addition to this, we have also launched a new range of rack-mountable amplifiers – the Naim CI Series. Each amplifier has been designed with versatility in mind, blending seamless integration, incomparable sound and a compact form – there are no boundaries to our customer’s sound experience. The range includes CI-Uniti 102, CI-NAP 108, and CI-NAP 101, as pictured below. Do you want to be part of the Naim and Focal team, supporting with the release of our brand-new products? As Christmas is now just around the corner, we thought we’d use this month’s update as an opportunity to tell you about the festivities which have taken place at Naim Audio during December. Our Site Director and HR team kicked off the Christmas countdown by delivering advent calendars to all our employees across the Salisbury factory. This brought smiles to people’s faces, and was swiftly followed by an abundance of Christmas decorations appearing across the site. On December 14th our canteen hosted a Christmas Dinner for all our employees to enjoy. Whilst, unfortunately, we don’t have any leftovers, we have included a picture showing how our canteen was decorated for the occasion. On the same day, individuals were encouraged to wear their best (or in some cases, worst) Christmas Jumpers to work, in order to raise money for Save the Children. As a final thank you to our employees, Naim will be operating a company-wide shut down from December 23rd until January 1st, to give all our staff a well-deserved break! Have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year!
At Naim and Focal, we work with a wide network of global distributors and retailers to ensure our products reach all corners of the world. Naim’s Brand Ambassador, Jason Gould, works closely with these retailers to provide guidance and support on how to set up and get the best from our systems, as well as an opportunity to share the company’s history and passion through a fully immersive product demonstration. Jason has worked at Naim Audio for the last 23 years, and prior to this, he spent 12 years working in retail selling Naim products. Although Jason has worked with Naim products for such a long time, he says that it never gets old to wow a room full of people after showing them the high-quality audio equipment that we produce. Fancy the opportunity to listen to our products? As part of our onboarding process, all new starters take part in a listening session with Jason to experience the special quality of our audio equipment. Apply today on our company website.
