Power. Delivered: UK’s first commercial 50G PON service is live Today, we're proud to announce another industry first — Netomnia has deployed the UK’s very first live commercial 50G PON service, powered by our partner Adtran's SDX 6400 platform. Seamlessly integrated over existing infrastructure, this ultra-high-speed deployment proves that our network isn’t just fast — it’s built for whatever comes next. From AI-powered homes and immersive metaverse experiences to next-gen enterprise connectivity, we're making sure the most powerful internet lives on our network — with no compromise, no limits. Together with Adtran, we’re not just talking about the future. We’re switching it on.
"Consolidation isn’t coming – it’s here. And in a market crowded with overbuild and under-delivery, Netomnia stands alone as the UK’s only scaled, capital-efficient retail and wholesale platform – proving that disciplined investment and smart infrastructure win." – Jeremy Chelot, Group CEO, Netomnia, YouFibre and Brsk, setting the tone at FTTH Council Europe's FTTH Conference 2025. The UK’s full-fibre future won’t be built on promises – it’s being delivered today through real scale, real investment, and real execution. At Netomnia, we’re leading that charge, driving innovation and growth in FTTP infrastructure and services – not just talking about it. Honoured to discuss the industry’s defining challenges alongside Greg Mesch, Katie Milligan, Natalie Black CBE, James Warner and Gita Sorensen! From financing models and infrastructure expansion to regulatory shifts, the discussion tackled the key obstacles and opportunities shaping the next phase of UK fibre. The race for nationwide coverage isn’t about who builds first – it’s about who builds right. At Netomnia, we’re setting the standard. #FTTH #FibreConsolidation #UKInfrastructure #FibreBroadband
