Octopus are on a mission to build 100,000 Zero Bills homes by 2030! Just recently, we teamed up with modular house builder Starship and Liverpool City Region Combined Authority to build one of these innovative smart homes in two days at Labour Party Conference. That’s how quickly we can create a home that generates and stores its own energy, letting the people inside live comfortably without worrying about home energy costs for at least 10 years, guaranteed. It’s an exciting glimpse of what the future holds. We’re teaming up with some of the UK’s biggest housebuilders, including Vistry, Persimmon and Bellway, to roll these homes out across the country. Bellway’s got an entire 130-home development in Bedfordshire planned for Zero Bills-our largest site yet-and regional builders like Thakeham, Verto and GS8 are going all-in with these clean tech homes. But it’s not just about new builds. True change will require transforming the homes we already have. We think about 500,000 homes built since 2013 in the UK could be upgraded to the Zero Bills standard. That’s a huge number of homes that could see bills disappear. Zero Bills is helping to make green living the easy, affordable option for everyone. And we’ve got the tech, the partners, and the ambition to get it done.
We’ve hit 1 million chargers on Electroverse! Thanks to our incredible team, EV drivers can now plug in at locations across 40 countries and enjoy support in 20 languages. Here’s to powering the future of electric travel, one charge at a time!
A super exciting project that Octopus Energy are partnering with DTEK on to raise $115 million to support up to 100 solar + battery projects in Ukraine under a program called RISE (Resilient Independent Solar Energy). The aim with this is to use smaller decentralised energy installations (rooftop + battery) that are more resilient and less dependent on large centralised generation, especially in conflict/recovery zones!

At this years Energy Tech Summit, exactly a year after we launched the Cosy 6 heat pump, we introduced its big sister: the Cosy 10. It's early days but the very first trials start this winter, with more details to come.
