Since 2010, Renault Group have been jointly innovating with fire-fighters to improve the safety of cars. Christophe Lenglos, Lieutenant-Colonel from the Yvelines Fire and Rescue Department in France, is assigned to the Vehicle Safety division at Renault Group Engineering Department. He details the innovations that have resulted from this partnership and explains how his involvement with the Group has improved the response time of emergency teams in the field.

We just announced the signing of two major partnerships in the field of the design and production of Electric Vehicle batteries: - with Envision AESC as we set up a gigafactory in Douai, close to Renault ElectriCity, to support manufacture of latest technology, cost-competitive, low-carbon batteries. - with the French start-up Verkor to co-develop and then manufacture high-performance batteries. These partnerships in combination with our Renault ElectriCity initiative will create nearly 4,500 direct jobs in France by 2030.
