We had a great day meeting future talent at our stand at the Roundhouse in Derby today at the The Graduate Engineer Show.
We hope to see you at our open day in December!
The year has begun with exciting new ventures for Romax Technology that include the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the company and the University of Nottingham.
The partnership will look at identifying collaborative projects focused on the mathematics and physics of electrical and mechanical systems. Importantly, it will look at the development of a deepening of knowledge within this area, the systems and how they work together, between the two parties.
‘This MOU is significant in further strengthening our relationship with the University of Nottingham. We are proud to combine our proven real-world technology applications with the University’s excellent research resource to further future technological advancement.’ Youn Park, Global Head of Aerospace, Romax Technology.
As part of our Health and Wellbeing agenda at Romax, HR arranged a Love your Liver Awareness day where a skilled practitioner visited our site to complete body composition assessments on employees. The results meant employees found out their body fat percentage, metabolic age and visceral fat rating. Some of the grads were surprised at their apparent 14 year old bodies whilst others were left thinking twice about ordering that Friday night takeaway! Liver disease is now the fifth largest cause of death so having an understanding of how to live a healthy lifestyle and reduce risks is valuable to all!
Today we celebrated 30 years of Romax! We all gathered in the rec area where founder Dr. Poon gave some words and cut the cake, which of course went down a treat!
Meet Jack! He is currently on the Romax Graduate Scheme
"I started as a Graduate Engineer in 2018. The incredible work done here and this wonderful city are just two of the reasons why I chose to work at Romax. I'm thoroughly enjoying my time here so far, I've learnt a whole ton of exciting new material from extremely smart people and it feels like I've only just scratched the surface. Regular social events, a friendly working environment and heavy investment into its staff set Romax aside from other companies."
Yesterday Romax held a charity breakfast to support Framework, an organisation that supports homeless people. Employees enjoyed yummy pastries, toast, cereals and drinks as well as donating generously like always!
Happy Chinese New Year! Last week the Romax social committee organised a party to celebrate with nibbles, drinks, games and Chinese traditions!
Last week we hosted a Cake Sale in aid of Framework - our chosen charity for the year at our Nottingham HQ.
Everyone is loving New Leaf Health Ltd being with us at our HQ in Nottingham today, offering Health Checks, Vitamin D Testing and Smoothies to our staff!
For the past year, we have carried out a number of activities in aid of Framework and yesterday we had the pleasure of presenting a cheque of £2628.89! Find out how you can get involved at http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQsiR
