As part of the Playworks Pacific Northwest 10th Anniversary Corporate Kickball Tournament, volunteers from our Portland office took to the field to play against local companies for an afternoon of friendly competition. For over five years, we've been supporting the Playworks mission through donations and kickball. How do you enjoy combining wellness and community?

Earth Day is a call to take action year-round to secure an environmentally sustainable and socially just society. It’s an excellent time for individuals and organizations to take a step back and evaluate sustainability in their lives and business. For many of our employees, that means actively engaging in projects that support our environment, including volunteering with local conservation organizations. As a company, WE has measured its annual carbon footprint since 2008, in an effort to identify, track and reduce environmental impacts. In the past 10 years, WE has achieved a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to our 2008 baseline. We achieved this by implementing sustainability practices in our office spaces and by putting in place employee and work practices that serve people, profit and the environment, such as flexible work options, incentivizing the use of public transportation and investing in technology to substitute non-essential travel. Here's to a carbon-neutral future!
Puget Sound Business Journal's “The List” for Washington’s Largest Women-Owned Companies was published this month, and we are pleased to have WE ranking #3! Congratulations to our Washington office.
