Revolutionary infrared drying process picks up first award! phs’ Drysafe halves garment drying times A new, innovative infrared drying process, which halves the time it takes to dry garments, has picked up its first award. The brainchild of phs Besafe, one of the UK’s leading commercial cleaning and workwear providers, ‘Drysafe’ uses infrared sensors to constantly monitor the moisture levels in the garments and the core temperature of the drum. This ensures a constant drying temperature and an automatic stop once the garment is dry; halving the time the machine needs to run, saves energy and prolongs the life of the garment. It was awarded the Green Impact Award at the Laundry and Drycleaning Awards 2020 (LADAs).

  • Our Learning and Development team has had new head shots taken ahead of the launch of the new L&D offering at phs. Since July, the team has introduced management development programmes, developed customer service skills and created a new list of Learning and Development opportunities for phs employees!

  • This week we launched our Welsh ILM Level 3 programme with Coleg y Cymoedd. We now have 29 people on a structured management development programme with more opportunities for our Scottish colleagues coming soon. What advice would you give to our future leaders?

  • Over the course of this year, our Learning & Development team will be working hard to launch a series of training programmes across the business. Over 25 phs managers have recently embarked on a Leadership and Management level 3 development programme. The programme is focused on specific management challenges for line managers, team leaders and aspiring managers. Once completed, all will have a recognised management qualification and a better understanding of what makes a great leader! Best of luck to everyone taking part!

  • Today, Resourcing Business Partner, Nicola Acreman and Blended Learning Systems Trainer, Zak Bedaida, visited Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni in South Wales to talk to students about opportunities and careers in the industry. The duo helped shine a light on roles and career paths within phs and helped pupils to identify future skills, experiences and attitudes that would be needed to land their dream role!

  • Yesterday, our Group IT Director Matt Davies, joined David Kurtanjek at CloudShift Group's Salesforce World Tour London. The duo gave an excellent insight into our digital transformation and how Salesforce is driving efficiency, increasing sales and transforming our customer experience. Well done Matt!

  • Today, over 100 of our senior leaders are at our annual management conference. We are taking a look at what we achieved last year, celebrating some successes and looking forward at our plans and priorities for the future.

  • Here at phs, we're supporting Learning at Work Week. Every day this week, we're encouraging our people to 'Take 5' and learn something new!

  • Congratulations to Daniel Lee, Stacey Sargent, Ruth Dingley and Rory Wells from our Telesales Team based in Tamworth. These high flyers beat their target for the last quarter and joined our 125% Club! As a special reward, all members of the 125% Club are invited to a celebratory dinner with drinks and an overnight stay at a luxury hotel and spa! Well done all!

  • Giving the best start at phs... When you join our Sales team, you’ll get to spend a day with a service driver, as part of your induction. One of our newest hygiene consultants, Leah, recently spent the day with Dave who has been one of our service drivers for 23 years. Dave often takes members of the team out and about with him passing on his knowledge and sharing a story or two! In the words of Leah, 'He is an absolute legend!.’ Thanks for your support Dave.
