Mercer is seeking candidates for the following position based in either our Phoenix, Arizona or Minneapolis, Minnesota office:
SENIOR GOVERNMENT PHARMACY CONSULTANT

We will count on you to:
- Be responsible for the day-to-day project management of the Government divisions projects related to pharmacy programs
- Be actively involved in the selling process with the Senior Client Leader; drive the request for proposal (RFP) process
- Work with the Senior Client Leader to initiate the project after a project is sold to the client. This includes meeting with the client and clearly defining the scope, timelines and deliverable(s) of the project. Also, develop and propose essential project documents, including the budget and implementation work plans
- Present results and analysis to clients and key stakeholders; during presentations, answer detailed and challenging questions regarding the
data - Work with the client to define the scope of the project, while serving as expert on rate structure and methodology & ensuring the project is consistent with federal regulations and actuarial standards, as needed
What you need to have:
- BA/BS degree
- 7 + years of relevant experience required
- Pharmacy provider reimbursement and claim payment knowledge
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills; strong command of Excel and experience utilizing additional analytical software such as Access or SAS Enterprise Guide preferred
What makes you stand out:
- Project management certification (PMP) experienced candidates will be given preference
- State Medicaid FFS pharmacy or pharmacy benefit management (PBM) rate setting or financial analyst experience preferred
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
