Weird question, I know, please forgive me, but does your office allow you to wear shorts or open toed shoes in the summer? It gets stupid hot here and the fact that we can't wear summertime appropriate clothing in my office is pretty enraging to me.

What's your long term goal for your career? And for those become a partner, or a head of tax, what drives you to make it happen?

Thoughts on romantic relationships at work? Does your firm have a policy on this? We can't help who we are attracted to, develop feelings for, etc. And, yes I've been involved with my boss on and off for almost 10 years. Some suspect us, but we've kept it to ourselves. Don't beat me up too badly.

How are my fellow accountants preparing for the rough economic times ahead?

None of these people in private equity have their CPAs yet they are now controlling/owning CPA firms. Does anyone see a problem here?
