Thoughts on West Monroe?
My net worth is 343k as a 26 year old. Why do i still feel behind? Current salary is 140k. Friends in tech have been making 190k-350k from college up until now.
List of the worst of the worst people, those unfit for society: - Those who recline their seats on airplanes - Those who don’t return their grocery carts - Those who listen to audio on speaker on public transport Am I missing anyone?
Does anyone else cringe a bit when they see a former intern, or similar, have “ex-BCG”, “former Bain”, “PwC alum”, etc. on their LinkedIn headline? I don’t like it generally, and I don’t feel like an intern even counts. I truly hope it helps someone get a job, just cringy.
I was just terminated from the deals group. I’ve let myself go in terms of my health and weight. I figured I’d use a good chunk of the severance time to get in shape over the summer and focus on my health but my friends and family are pushing me to find a way to juggle both and call me crazy for taking my time. My plan is to build a morning routine of fitness and work that into my new schedule when I’m rehired. Any thoughts ?
Would you take a pay cut from $205K base to $180K base to go fully remote + can live wherever (from 2 days in office in NYC).
Used to work there, nice people, pretty chill WLB - can be cliquey for promotions - overall solid place, i'm sure having similar problems all other consulting firms having now
Pros: -People are genuinely nice -WLB is good relative to consulting -benefits of having large firm infrastructure but still fairly casual environment Cons: -Under market pay relative to consulting -Firm Strategy is unclear (as of right now) -Can be very cliquey depending on what business unit you’re in
Very dependent on practice from what I hear - also different pay bands by practice. Overall - some practices have pay bands on par with Accenture Strategy / EY-P … yet some are way under. People are incredibly nice though and balance is incredible. People love it here
